Strength:
clean strong low end - great price from Brandnamez
Weakness:
none My main speakers are homemade with 15 inch woofers - plenty of bass for music but not enough low end for home theater. I was looking for something that would give me that little extra punch for music and crisp rumbles and thumps for movies. I did not want enough power to cause pain or shake the paint off the walls. I was concerned that I would be under-powered with the 350 - my family room is 22 x 16 feet and opens to a similar size kitchen. This sub is just what I was looking for. I use it at about 2/3 power and the output is clean and pure. Rented Jurassic Park III and the sound effects scared the crap out of me! Not even a whisper of a hum at full power. Placement was critical for me since I still get some bass from my mains. I placed it in the corner of the room and played with the 180 switch to minimize cancellation from the mains. Terrific product! |

Strength:
High volumes w/o distorting
Weakness:
Spring clips for speaker outlets I updated from the PSW250 after a special promotion from Polk gave me the PSW250 for free. I am extremely happy with this sub after about a year of use. It can hit low frequencies w/o distorting. It has a very nice look to it w/ a very strong build! Similar Products Used: BIC, Infinity |

Strength:
Good strong bass, no playin''around, no distortion. I got it for $340 including shipping -which is a good price.
Weakness:
Since my unit is on the floor, I look down on it from the top. To change power levels or frequency response levels, I rely totally by ear. The markings on the dials in the back dont allow for easy reading from a bird''s eye view from above. I couldnt tell too much of a difference between the Polk model and the other similar units at Circuit City''s lineup. The Polk was built more solid and had a larger subwoofer than the competition but it was $80 more than the competition too. I decided to go for it to match the Polk speakers I already have (CS250, RT35, RT15). Secondly reading reviews here convinced me to buy it. Strength:
Boom for the buck, size, resilence
Weakness:
Hum while in Auto with no signal, built-in crossover, you can always tell where this sub is positioned. When coupled with a good receiver, this relatively small 10" 100 watt sub really rocks. |

Strength:
Powerful Bass, ability to hit low frequencies.
Weakness:
Manual is short on explanations, volume level needs to be more even. This is a great sub. It really brings out the action sequences in movies. Gut wrenching bass. You barely have to turn the volume up to achieve more than enough bass (I have mine at about 1/4 volume - anymore would drown out the other speakers). Still havent figures out the toggle switch. Havent experienced the hum (but I havent turned the thing up - no need to). Highly recommended. Similar Products Used: Researched many including Paradigm, Velodyne, Defenitive Tech. |

Strength:
Well constructed, also good performance with audio music
Weakness:
Slight hum on Standby mode I think this sub is a very selection for home theatre/audio music. The one thing that I had trouble understanding at first was the "phase" switch. Here's the best way to set the phase. Listen to a good quality audio CD with good tight bass. Listen to it in the 2 channell audio setting on your receiver. Set the bass Mgmt to Front "large" and sub to "On" and the +main feature (or whatever lets your receiver play the bass through the mains and the sub sequentially). Listen to music at a good volume and have a friend flip the phase switch up and then down. Compare each sound. The setting that gives you the loudest bass is the CORRECT setting. If you have it set wrong you will get a "Cancellation" effect that will give you less bass performance. The difference is night and day. Enjoy! Similar Products Used: PSW250 |

NONE This sub is excellent. Absolutley flawless. It has very clean tight bass. Not boom boom exploision type bass, but very clear and accurate. I have also had the next lowest model, the PSW250 with an 8" woofer and it performed equally as well, but i had to return it due to financial reasons, but I got a PSW350 for Christmas. I would highly recomend either the PSW250 or the PSW350 for those low budget shoppers. Polk Audio makes very excellent speakers! Similar Products Used: Polk Audio (PSW250) also very good |

Strength:
Easy to hook up. It sounds great with music and movies.
Weakness:
Adjustment knobs feel a little loose. Just hook this baby up to your dts receiver at the sub output and away you go! This thing has some serious sound and fills my small appartment with wall shaking bass! The beauty is it also sounds great at low levels filling in the gap in my Polk Audio RT-35i's perfectly. |

Strength:
Small size and big sound! Option to run filtered or not filtered, good looks.
Weakness:
none I thought the 10" sub would not be enough for my medium sized living room. But the PSW350 cranks out the bass! Very good with music as well, though I have found its specialty is home theater use. Great price, great sound, highly recommended! Similar Products Used: none |
