Strength:

POWER, Base Reflex goes down to 23 and it goes lower if set up properly in the corner (I've got mine to 21)

Weakness:

After I found out the trick above, none yet

What a great Sub, The room Im in is fairly demanding. It is open around to other rooms (mathematically that volume is included with any sub) And still this sub worked awesome. The test CD showed the base all the way down to 21Khz. There was some problems the old model had, such as no definitive off switch (only an on/auto), And the power has been cranked up.
i definetly recomend this sub for any demanding movie goer's. If you want to test one go to a listening center and pop saving private yan and go to the Tank scene. Your bones feel the tank coming ever before your ears hear the base.

Once caution to those of you using this sub for radio/CD
most likely you will notice to much base and find it annoying after a while. You need to setup 2 things and this will go away. 1 Make sure that your Receiver stops sending base info to the front's, then go to the back of the Sub and bypass the crossover. This will allow more power for your fronts and allow them to reproduce the mid's much better. Also this stops the base from being generated twice.

If your stereo does not have the opt of bypassing the base to the fronts then set the crossover on the sub to just a few Khz past where your speakers produce comfortably, this will allow you to maintane a beutifully rich base without it over powering you.
My value is a 4 simply because of price.
My entire system is a medium family budget theater system and this cost almost as much as my Boston Fronts (almost)
However I no longer have to sleep on the couch (hurray)

Strength:

very melodic.good punch

Weakness:

doesn't go as low as I would like

It took a little tweeking to get it set but:after that was done I sat back & enjoyed(& enjoyed & enjoyed). Its a very musical sub.My last sub was a yamaha yst-150.This one was musical as well but didn't cut it for movies. It was ok for apartment dwelling.the problem was that I just bought a house & wanted to rock it.Time for a new sub so I went looking.A lot of the subs I checked out were good for bang & explotion but that wasn't all I was looking for.I listen to alot more music than movies.Th 120 handled music real well & it was in my price range. The dealer was trying to talk me into a Paradigm servo 15 but couldn't afford it.Well anyway I tried it & dug what I was hearing & it hasn't gone back.I like it.Of course I could do better but my pocketbook dictates what purchases I get & this one works for me.

Strength:

Massive Power from small amp, hard hitting, not muddy, beautiful cabinet design

Weakness:

stupid little rubber legs

Blew away the infinity which had a much bigger amp. The sounds hit the chest hard from DVD's The Matrix, T2, Saving Private Ryan, and Independence Day. I'm a huge listener of Def Lepperd, Guns N Roses, and Poison and I tell you that the reproduction of the kick drums from this sub is unbelievable. Hit's like the real thing! I recommend that if you can get this sub for under $500, do it! I'm getting another one to put into the opposite corner of the room. I wonder what that will do?

Strength:

loud and punchy, very tough

Weakness:

i hate the feet

i love this sub for what i paid for it. i have heard just about everything around. for the price you cant beat it. I worked at circuit city and didnt have much to do except play with the audio stuff. notihng we had even compared to the velodyne line. Infinity subs are hazey at best.
My system consists of the h/k avr 7000, paradigm cc350, monitor 9, mini monitors, and this sub. I've found the cable really helps. The monstor cable THX certified with the y adtaptor is nice.
I like really loud and punchy bass. It took me a while to find a place in my small room to set this where i like the way it sounded. I put it at the foot of my bed so the sound reflects off the wall. It makes it so i can feel the bass in my chest. I love it!
The only really difference I found between this and the ct100 was it was a little more powerful sounding. If you dont have the money go for the ten inch. its just as good.
I challenge anyone to find a better sub at this price.
