Strength:
Value, Calrity and a WIDE soundstage!
Weakness:
VERY SLIGHT treble harshness on certain frequencies. These Surround Speakers are definitely a player in the high end audio world. For the money they are fantastic. The overall sound quality is great. Value!!! |

Strength:
sounded good for the price
Weakness:
fried the woofers inside the first month Purchased RC-7, RS-7 (surrounds), RS-3 II (rears), RSW-12, and an Outlaw 950/770 Preamp/Amp. Using my Chorus' for the fronts. The system sounds great - quite an upgrade from my old Pioneer SX-1280 receiver. Compared to everything else, I had to boost the RS-3's to balance the sounds. Overall they sounded great -- for a couple weeks that is. The first time I gave them a workout I fried the woofer in both RS-3s. I was surprised, as I didn't think I had everything turned up too much. Called the store, and they're going to swap me for an upgrade to RS-7 for the rears (on my request). Strength:
Wide angle dispersion. Internal Monster Cable wiring. Cool stlying. Available in white. They look great hanging on the wall on the attached keyhole slot.
Weakness:
I can only say price I guess if you don't shop around. They are priced as high as $600. I got my for less then $400. I have been a long time believer in the quality of Klipsch Speakers. Since the first pair of Klipsch KG4's I bought in 1985. I still have and love my KG4's. So when I was looking to build my surround sound system around the KG4's. I looked no further then the Klipsch website. I researched all the spec's on there many different surround sound speakers. I then went to a local dealer to listen to them all. Out of all of the surrounds I listened to; Klipsch and others. I found I liked Klipsch RS-3 II's best. The 6.5" woofer and the two 6" tweeter's was the only thing I found the matched the sound and performance of my KG4's. They sound perfect together. I love listening to all kinds of music from Jazz to Rock to Country. I can hear a true range of sound from the surrounds. They also sound really good reproducing sound effects in movies. I definately recommend these speakers to anyone looking for the best sounding surround speakers under $600. Similar Products Used: Klipsch KG4's |

Strength:
Clear timbre. Crisp sharp highs with clarity that makes strings sing! Ear stinging sound of cymbals!
Weakness:
Muffled base covers midtones during Prologic II playback. These Klipch speakers are smoking! They are wonderful except one developed an ozone that is so bad I delveloped headaches from it. I had it gladly replaced under warranty. Solid warranty but the test comes now after I've found a dark carbon like substance emitted from the one of the cones of the other one. It now rattles. If they replace it I will be happy but all said and done I really miss my Bose AM15 Series II I sold for this set. Oh well we all make mistakes. If you are an audiophile you should give these a considerable amount of rethought. Hear them at several dealers and inpect the quality. I've found the carbon problem at one other dealer in their display also. Similar Products Used: Bose AM15 Series II |

nothing well i finally have my complete rf3II system. I received my sub today and this system rocks, thumps, does everything you can throw at them and, and ask is that it? well the surround really hold their own in this system I was surprised and how great they are but Klipsch has really surprised me with every speaker in this system. They do what they are supposed to do and they do it with style and comfort. only Klipsch |

Strength:
Excellent sound, exterior design
Weakness:
none What can I tell? These are excellent match with my front Forte's and KLF C7 center channel. They are all driven by DENON AVR 3801. Honestly I have not done much recearch, just called Klipsch people and asked them which surrounds and center would match Forte's. They made their recommendations and I followed them. I think I made an excellent choice. Soft Denon makes bright Klipsch sound just great. |

Strength:
Wide, detailed surround stage
Weakness:
Pricey These are a perfect tonal match to the RF-3's and RC-3 across the front. I am driving them with an Onkyo TX-DS747. I have not really listened specifically to music that much other than music in the soundtracks of movies on the Toshiba SD-3006 DVD player. The TV is a Toshiba 30" direct view. Previously, I had Klipsch KG 3.5s with a KV-2 center and KG .5s as surrounds. This system will beat out any theater in our area--of course, I am dealing with a small cave, and theater owners are dealing with large caverns--perhaps an unfair comparison. The sound is clear and distinct, with a wide, detailed front stage. Sound pans smoothly front side to side and front to back. I think that Klipsch has really done surround right with their WDST technology--a combination of direct and reflected. These units will also reproduce at lower levels quite well, rated to 49 hZ, though I have not measured it specifically. This makes for a wide, detailed surround stage. I know that some would argue that the Legend series and others would perform even better, but I doubt that (for me) it would be worth the incremental cost increase. Strength:
Clarity, frequency response range.
Weakness:
None I can think of. I purchased these to go along with my RC-3 center and KSP-400 'tear your head off' fronts. I was using a 10 year old pair of Infinity bookshelf speakers for surrounds. Similar Products Used: 0 |

Strength:
Freq. range, Bi/Di Polar design (AC-3and DPL, Wide dispersion, quality drivers
Weakness:
Build quality, wimpy binding posts, large for on-wall mounting, I looked and listened awhile before choosing the RS-3s. I was looking for side surrounds to use with my Denon AVR-3300. These really fit the bill. They go a bit lower (49HZ) than most surrounds making them ideal for AC-3s full-range surround channels and the bipole/dipole design is ideal for rear-surround only systems. Until I can get them mounted on the side walls in my living room for my main system I have them mated to my KG-4s (a speakerI love and will never sell), a KV-3 center channel, and two subs (I have them so I use them) an Klipsch SW-8 and a custom made ACI Saturn sub in my bedroom. This system sounds incredible. The speakers are mated to a Yamaha RX-V2092 Receiver and a Pioneer DVL-700 DVD player. This system's sound is comparable to my main system which cost over three times as much, some friends like the Klipsch system better. The RS-3 really opened up the rear giving a fuller more robust ambience yet is detailed enough to correctly reproduce the direct surround cues for directivity and great rear effects. I am really sorry to see Klipsch design for 8 ohm load impedance. I have heard a couple of their tower speakers (KG-5.5 and the KLF-30s) and feel they fall short of the impact and presence of the KG-4s. I hope to buy a pair of KSF-S5 surrounds as well. Strength:
The sound is amazing and I would recommend this system to anybody.
Weakness:
None Found I finally got an upgrade on my stereo system from the junk system I was using. The new system is a killer audio package from www.acousticsounddesign.com. I picked up Klipsch RF-3 Towers, a Klipsch RC-3 center, RS-3 rear surrounds, a new KSW-12 " subwoofer, and a kickin' |
