Strength:
Subwoofer kicks, great looking speakers, crisp clean, and clear sound!!!
Weakness:
none Not sure what the complaintes of the sub are, it is not underpowered by no means what so ever, the rears are crisp and clean, I wouldnt use center cause its just to small to get what you need out of a center, so I got the NS-C3290 center to go with the set and also the NS-7390 for fronts and let me tell you together this is a kick butt systme!!! I have no complaints at all... Similar Products Used: yamaha NS-7390 front towers Yamaha NS-C3290 center channel |

Strength:
Size, highs, easy setup and mounting.
Weakness:
Subwoofer ain't great but it ain't bad either. I just wonder if some of those other guys turned it on it's powered fellas so it's got it's own switch. The price and quality of this system give no reason to complain. I mainly use these for video games and dvds and they're awesome. Similar Products Used: Sony, Aiwa |

Strength:
Just enough for that small rooms and lofts. Speaker decor friendly.
Weakness:
none for its' purpose. Very good small speaker system for bedrooms and lofts. I have mine set up in my loft. It provides excellent home theatre setup for the small space. Face it, you can't have giant speakers in a room that surrounds three other bedrooms. You have to balance the sound so it won't be a bother to people sleeping. Excellent product for the purpose. |

price and speaker satilites
Weakness:
subwoofer Well I've almost completed my powerhouse in my bedroom. I've got all the major gaming systems (cept xbox) a vcr, tv, computer and a turner (technics) i got at a pawn shop now i just needed the final piece to my setup a audio system. Now as listed above I have a tuner and i need a system I am not a man of much money so when I saw this system at Sam's for about 180 bucks I almost triped over myself. This system was cheep and only had speakers I dont need no tuner. I got them home and was happy but after a few days of listening to dvd games and radio I got pretty disapointed the sub is pretty much crap not alot of power there but it tries. The satilites sound nice not much prob there. but that sub offers almost nothin. other than that im pretty pleased Similar Products Used: built myself 2 sony explodes 2 blown koss speakers (used as tweeters) |

Strength:
Low price. You get the entire package, (subwoofer, wall mounts, and surround speakers) and a fairly decent system.
Weakness:
Don''t expect this to sound like theater sound, it''s not that powerful. The subwoofer is the most dissapointing part. I owned the NS-P220 for my first home theater system. I didn''t know much about speakers so I got screwed over for the price I paid. However, after doing my research and upgrading my system, I can give an honest review. If you are just starting out, this is a good introductory system for a bedroom. The speakers are not powerful enough to put out much power in a large room. The subwoofer is average. The NS-P220 is a quality upgrade from TV sound by itself, but doesn''t put out the power that a quality (expensive) system does. If you are looking for a powerful system, I don''t recommend it. IF you want a decent low priced home theater, I suggest you do your research to make sure this is the best deal for the money. LOWS COULD USE A LITTLE MORE POWER, IF YOU ADD A SUB, NOT A REAL CONCERN. AFTER SPENDING HOURS LISTENING TO DOZENS OF SPEAKER PACKAGES, YAMAHA FOR THE MONEY DOMINATES THE INDUSTRY! I COMPARED THESE WITH JBL, POLK, BOSE, KLH, AND SONY. THE ONLY SPEAKERS THAT SOUNDED BETTER WERE THE BOSE (AND NOT BY MUCH). THE YAMAHA NS-P220'S LOOK GREAT (POLK LOOKS LIKE $20.00 SPEAKERS) THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE (BOSE $550.00). YOU JUST CANT FIND A BETTER SPEAKER PACKAGE FOR THE MONEY... FROM ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED COMPANYS! YAMAHA IS A NO BRAINER, THE QUALITY, PRICE, AND PERFORMANCE WIN HANDS DOWN. I WILL GET RID OF MY CURRENT SURROUND RECIEVER(KENWOOD) AND PURCHASE A YAMAHA WITHOUT LOOKING AT ANY OTHER PRODUCT. BY THE WAY, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EVER EVEN LOOKED AT YAMAHA PRODUCTS!
