Please check out the Panasonic web page. The new CT-32HX41 and CT-36HX41 are now listed. The HX41 is going to fix the red problem with the HX40, and also allows you to save color settings for EACH input. The remote is also much better. |

Strength:
Great features/performance @ this price point for NSTC, HDTV and DVDs
Weakness:
Heavy, but no more than others Just had this for a week, but after picture settings were re-adjusted I am actually blown away at just how good the picture is. I have been a Sony XBR fanatic for years, but this Panasonic is great. NSTC, DVDs and HDTV (not much yet) picture quality is far better than I expected. A very nice touch is the quality of each mode is top notch and conistent. Picture noise seems to be less than my Sony. The Panasonic picture appearence is different than the Sony's. More photo like than softer art film theater experience that a Sony might presents. Now that I see the comparison at home I prefer the Panasonic right now. Give me six months and we'll see if I still think that way. Bottom line, this set is a real practical winner on all accounts. Pun intended. Similar Products Used: Sony Wegas |

Strength:
Picture,color and overall brightness
Weakness:
Heavy, memory issue between source settings First of all,I am very pleased with this set. Mine, after getting it home, had a couple of chips on the front of the caseing...but after putting it in the entertainment center their not noticable(the TV is so heavy that returning it would of been a real hassel). After plugging it in,WOW ,great picture! I was looking at the sonyxbr400,but felt that this set had a better picture and was less money.ALSO.the picture was perfect out of the box.The only thing i did is turned the contrast down abit. Dvd looks awsome.I can not wait to get a progressive scan dvd player! If anything,it will take some time getting used to the flat screen, and the concave illusion that all flats have, sony, samsung ect. |

Strength:
Great Picture.
Weakness:
Geometry Problems. I've had this set for about 10 months now and am extremely happy with it except the geometry problem. I have a curvature on the lower left hand and any horizontal objects would appear curved downwards. I've contacted Panasonic and they gave me no response or told me to have someone look at it but I'm not sure if this can be fixed. Similar Products Used: Sony 36XBR450 |

Weakness:
Geometry problem. Bad Remote. Bad Technical Support. This is another follow up. Panasonic came again to make adjustments. I kept on insisting that the problem cannot be solved, but apparently these guys had negative IQ's. Similar Products Used: Sony XBR450 36" |

Strength:
Excellent Picture, Sound, and cannot be upgraded (finally)
Weakness:
I did not find any. If all the settings are on mid level then it should not require adjustment 1. It fits on my Wall Unit Similar Products Used: Pioneer DVD-434 progressive scan player (cheap) |

Strength:
Great picture, sound, and features.
Weakness:
Geometric issues. I too have the same exact "geometric" problem Nick does. The lower left portion of the picture seems to dip downward. While in letterbox format, I measured the thickness of the upper and lower bars. The upper measured evenly across the screen, while the lower was thicker on the right versus the left (by almost half an inch!). Also, if there's a ticker-type runner, news headlines, sports scores, etc along the lower portion of the picture, it appears to rise slightly upwards from left to right, versus straight across. |
