Strength:
excellent sound even without running thru my amp and speaker setup. Crisp colours - flat screen -good selection inputs and outputs - overall appearance
Weakness:
p-i-p buttons seem to be in the wrong location on the remote Unit has performed very well and is a pleasure to watch and listen to even without an expensive audio system hooked to it ,have quite a good system soundwise - top of the line Pioneer/bose901's/boston center/klipsch's ss rears and subwoffer -- half the time I find I haven't turned on my whole system unless I'm into a movie/dvd/laser. |

Strength:
Picture. Sound. Big flat screen.
Weakness:
No component video input Absolutely the best TV set out there in the 27" form factor. Brilliant color separation. Crystal-clear picture definiton. And flatter than anything but a Wega. Fantastic sound quality with the 6-speaker surround setup. Similar Products Used: Panasonic TV |

Very heavy! I tried to get this TV for a long time. Finally a customer at a local electronics store returned the model for a upgrade. I was pleased once i was able to get it because of the favorable reviews on this site. Although this is a 28 inch TV it views larger. I played The lost world jurassic park ld on my pioneer dvl 909 and it looked great. The setup was pretty easy but dragging it up three flights of steps was no joke! You either need a strong back or a strong freind to help if no elavator is available. I feel this TV will service my needs until I can get one of those tabletop lcd monitors from samsung. This TV is highly recommended if you can find one (discontinued model). Similar Products Used: Panasonic 27 inch |

WEIGHT, no component After reading reviews on this site and Consumer Reports,I narrowed my choice for a 27" set down to 2 TVs: the Sony Wega KV-27FS12 and the Samsung. It was not an easy choice, but for my purposes, the Samsung was a better deal. Only about 10% of my viewing is DVD, the rest broadcast TV. The lack of component video, therefore, was not a major concern. The Plus screen on the Samsung lets you see almost the whole viewable image. Calibration using Video Essentials showed the Samsung has an incredibly accurate color decoder, and very good black/white characteristics. I have not experinced any ill effects from the velocity scan modulation. The overall dimensions of the set also work well with my decor. I would recommend anyone shopping for a 27" set to consider this one. It may be hard to find since it has been discontinued. In sum, I am very pleased with the set and have no regrets thusfar. I give it 5 stars for value and 4 overall, because as good as this TV is, HDTV picture quality is better; if only those sets weren't so expensive. . . Similar Products Used: RCA 27", SAMSUNG 20" |
