Strength:

Flat screen, excellent color separation, excellent clarity, good sound for a small TV

Weakness:

I just think that the remote should be backlighted...but, as a side note, the bigger WEGA TV's come with backlit remotes.

Excellent across the board...a bit expensive, but well worth the price. This works expecially well with DVD and digital sources. Also, this TV is HDTV compatible. In the future, you will be able to buy a box allowing you to convert it into an HDTV. I would recommend this to everyone, those other TV's just don't stack up. Sony has an unfair advantage.

well, i just had to toot my own horn for a minute.
went to sears thinking they might have this thing.. they did , for 399, which aint bad. BUT, they also had a returned model, minus manual, for 299! i snapped it up. totally warrantied, plus bought a year warranty for 30 bucks. and, IM getting a manual sent to me anyway. love the thing so far.. much better than our 13 inch sony that crapped out after 10 yrs.

Strength:

etter picture than the last

Weakness:

ummm

O.k. picked up a new one today, Now i got the buzzing noise in the speakers like the last guy was saying. I know what you mean dude. Luckliy i use my audio through my vcr. The picture on this one is a little better, But the digital comb filter could be more sharper. The very first wega i got was so sharp it looked awesome. Ever one i had since that one failed to look like that first one.. I have an eye for picture quality. They dont make em like they use to. I also heard these t.v.s are very sensitive..

Strength:

Sharp, clear picture. Good stereo sound for such small speakers. 2 sets of a/v inputs (1 front / 1 back), s-video.

Weakness:

Rather big. Again . . the sony remotes do not know anything about dish network satellite receivers just dtv.

Nice tv, clear picture, super flat screen. Perfect for the bedroom tv to watch satellite tv on through the s-video input. Mine hangs off the wall on a bracket. Well worth the $399 from Crutchfield. I think my next living room tv will have to be a wega also.

Strength:

Exceptional clarity, brilliant color,
good audio

This set when working properly is
absolutely incredible, perhaps
the finest small screen TV made. I have a flawless set however
understand those reporting buzzing
sounds.Before this I had the KV24FS10
a true buzzer with speakers on or off.
Needless to say that went back to
Mexico. Speaking of Mexico and
the large number of recent Sony lemons perhaps SONY needs to look
for a new assembly plant location. It
would appear quality control
has come to a halt at its current
location.

Strength:

Very sharp, can handle digital sources well

Weakness:

Has problems with low resolution, letterboxed DVDs

Part of the problem I have with this television is because it is very good. It is very sharp, very bright and does well with digital sources. However, cable television (300 to 350 lines) looks awful on this. That's where being so sharp isn't so good. I also have a major problem with the screen towards the right side. It tends to cave in to the horizontal center and elongates the two right hand corners. It is especially noticable on letterboxed DVDs -- the black bars become thicker at the right end of the screen, which is very annoying. I do have to say that the "movie" picture selection really does help the DVD experience. An added note -- I was impressed with the sound, though I am by no means an audio expert.

Strength:

Flat Screen, Excellent Color Temperature, and the sound quality is great for any entry level unit like this.

Weakness:

Heavy for it's size, no component inputs and the remote is ackward to use. Sony should have offered a remote with a backlit feature for night time use.

I paid $170 at the Wiz in CT as an open box sale for a slight cosmetic blemish on the top from of the picture screen (60% off list price)! I think I receive a great deal.

The picture quality is sharp and concise and the color temperature is excellent and not overly saturated.

Keep in mind that all TV Broadcasters will have a slight variation in their Transmission Settings and you might even get a slight color difference between each channel you watch!!! This will not be the fault of the TV you are watching - important to remember.

I have hooked up my DVD and DSS to this WEGA unit and I am happy to say Sony did a great job in designing this 20" model. Again, excellent picture quality and even color temperature when view either hook up.

This Sony Wega KV-20FV10 is worth every penny (regardless of the deal I received) and even at the MSRP.

I just got the 20" sony wage TV and so far i have to say it has the nicest picture of any TV that I have ever seen. The TV is good when watching cable but it really is the best with movies or DVD's and when i say good I'm not putting it down i'm just saying it is very great with movies. A must have.

Strength:

Flat screen, useable brightness, color balance

Weakness:

Horrible convergence, too few inputs, expensive compared to other 20" sets.

I have had this TV in my bedroom for one month. The convergence on this set (and another one we opened and checked at the store) was horrible. The service tech said he'd never seen anything like it. For "normal" viewing, you can't easily notice this problem, but anytime there's white text on the screen (such as a satellite program guide), the convergence problem makes the text almost unreadable (the text is rainbow colored). Awaiting a third set to see if it's any better. If it is, I'll update my review.
