Strength:
Good sound. Good picture as long as it's a close up shot.
Weakness:
Poor picture quality on distance and motion shots. I have been totally diappointed in this television. Any program that has motion is pitiful. The picture blurs so bad you can't even make out the numbers on basketball players jerseys. On zoom out shots people lose their facial features. What a rip-off for $600. I wouldn't pay $100 for this TV. I will be returning this TV. Similar Products Used: Panasonic, Mitsubishi |

Strength:
Quality, Sound, S-video
Weakness:
Price, Weight I bought this television when they first came out. Only one dealer in my area even carried it then. Bestbuy, Circuit City, and Sears had not even heard of a 24" tv, so i was forced to go to hifibuys. This tv is great for smaller area, kind of sad now because it looks small now that its in the living room and not my room. S-video comes in handy especially for the soon to be released PS2 and DVDs. Only real negative is its weight. For something so small it is HEAVY |

Very Nice Picture, Nice Looks Too
Weakness:
Weight, Depth Too Big I have had this television set for about three months. Initially I had a VCR hooked up to it until my roommate hooked up his DVD player (Fischer brand rather cheap). Anyway, playing DVDs on this really looks good, even for a budget DVD player. I can only imagine what movies would look like with a quality DVD player. Have the audio outputs from both the DVD/VCR players going directly into my HiFi system. Very nice all around. The 24 inch model really looks like the 27 inch model, compare them yourself at any Circuit City or Good Guys. Initially I was going to get the XBR250 but the sales person at Good Guys wouldn't knock off $100 bucks for an open box XBR 250 ($1700). So I just picked up the 24 inch, I'm happy with my choice. Strength:
Best picture and sound quality I've ever experienced from TV. Beautiful deco.
Weakness:
No component imput. Until HDTV settles down, this is the TV you want! Just hook up DVD and DirecTV and enjoy the near perfect quality. I bought it from goodguys($549 - $75rebate = $475) and it turned out to be one of my best purchase ever...since Miata. :) Well, Can't even ask more from this TV now. Juuust go get it! Strength:
vivid clear crisp picture
Weakness:
weight, price When using the S video input the picture becomes so clear in certain instances a vivid 3D image can be discerned. The flat screen makes viewing a pleasure and although the factory picture settings are poor, it is easily reset for proper viewing. I can see no distortion in the picture and aside form adjusting the display setting, nothing else needed fixing. This Tv displays the most beautiful picture of any I have encountered and if you can afford the price I would recommend it to anyone using digital sat or DVD. I would not recommend it for cable users as the quality of the signal is not good enough. Similar Products Used: XL100 RCA 25 in |

Strength:
Stunning picture for NTSC (once calibrated and SVM disabled), S-Video input, decent sound quality.
Weakness:
No Component input, SVM disabled only by physical modification to TV. Out of the box, using the Movie mode, the picture is decent. After pyshically disconnecting the Scan Velocity Modulation (SVM) circuit, disabling the decoder's red-push and dynamic color and spending a couple of hours calibrating with both Video Essentials and AVIA, the picture is by far the best I've ever seen (for an NTSC TV). Yellow is yellow (not orange), and red is rich, not candy-apple red. Convergence is spot-on with the exception of two small areas at the bottom of the screen (and not bad there). Geometry needed to be tweaked a bit out of the box, but is now nearly perfect. With SVM disabled, the picture is stunningly sharp (none of that cartoonish look that you get when SVM is functional on any TV). Similar Products Used: KV-20FV10 (five, all defective) |

Strength:
Great picture quality, it is really flat compared to the competitors claiming to be flat.
Weakness:
Expensive, rarely in stock at least in my area. If you ever wanted a real flat TV, there's none other to get than the Wega series. |

Strength:
Great picture, gotta love the flat screen.
Weakness:
Heavy, popping sound when turning on tv, but heard all wegas do this I went into CC thinking I was going to purchase a 27" Panasonic TV, but saw this thing on an open box special at $450. Upon talking to the sales person he immediately came down to $380 and I snatched it up. I only noticed slight difference in size (between the 24 and 27 inch screens), and I was taken back by the awesome screen. The speakers sound great, also, I am very surprised to hear sound like this come out of a TV. For the price I paid for this thing, I am loving it. Similar Products Used: samsung 19" tv |

Strength:
Incredible Picture, Flat Screen, Awesome DVD Resolution, Price, Rich Texture
Weakness:
None Well, all i have to say is WOW! Dont be fooled by 24". This flat screen gives the illusion of a 27". It really is like looking at a photograph when watching a DVD movie. I was contemplating HDTV but after pricing HDTV I decided to wait till they cool off with overpricing. I bought this Sony today and the first thing I did was play a DVD. I have not seen anything that comes as close to HDTV than this Sony! Just wish i had bought this sooner! I sampled this 24" next to the identical 27" and the difference in size was not enough to justify paying an extra $250. Instead i grabbed some monster cable with the extra money that I would have spent on the overpriced 27". Similar Products Used: Panasonic |
