Strength:
Very sharp picture quality, high tech cosmetics, complete 'jack pack' 2 rf,composite, svideo, component
Weakness:
Sheer mass, weight, depth, etc. Due to the size of the cabinent, I bought this set returned to the store for 1295. The first owner could not get the set in their wall unit. It barely fits in mine, but the depth makes it stick out more than I would like. Similar Products Used: Panasonic superflat, Hitachi Ultravision |

Strength:
Nice picture,good speakers
Weakness:
User manual is weak. Originally ordered the Sony 36 FS10,paid $1299,they must have ran out and upgraded me to the 36FV15.Nice surprise.I guess I got lucky as the TV seems to be working great. No problems that I've seen others having,Wow what a difference from 32"Philips.Great picture w/ nice sounding speakers,But sure sounds great coming thru surround system.Watched Mission to Mars, decent movie after slow start some good effects and sound.I ordered the Video Essentials DVD to help setting some colors in differnet setting a little better.Too bad my In-laws stopped infor the weekend, I really would've given it a work out.Well theres always next weekend. Strength:
Sharp. Clear colors
Weakness:
Pixelation. A 36" TV does horrible things to anything with a low resolution as is found in air waves, cable, and DSS (I have not tried digital satellite yet) I loved the flat screen. |

Strength:
physically appealing, wife likes it, DVDs look great
Weakness:
cannot handle fast motion across screen, white color appears pixelated Overall I was satisfied with this television until I sat down to watch the basketball playoffs. This television cannot keep up with fast action. As the camera would pan to keep up with the players, everything would appear pixelated as if could not process the information fast enough. When the camera would pan across the audience, they would look like a jumbled mess. There was little definition between the people. The picture was nothing short of appalling. You will also notice pixelation in whites, especially on lines such as a foul line on the baseball diamond. Now that I watch Survivor I am noticing that water sometimes appears pixelated. I had the red lines across the screen that Steve mentioned but I returned that set for a new one and no longer have that problem. On the plus side, the picture on DVD movies watched through the component inputs is sometimes very striking. However, I don't see how anyone who honestly looks at this TV objectively can give it a 5 star review, stating that it has no weaknesses given its obvious flaws. Perhaps after paying almost 2K for a TV you do not want to admit you could have done better. I paid $1300 for mine and I would rather have a TV that may not be as beautiful but at least I can watch the game. It's silly to complain about the weight. What do you expect a 36" TV to weigh? I bought this TV because I expected it to have the best picture and it doesn't. I cannot recommend this TV unless you will only use it to watch movies on DVD. |

Strength:
Nice design, Very Clear Colors & Great via DVD.
Weakness:
Poor picture quality on cable TV. I was really disappointed with the quality of the picture when I first watched it via cable. The colors are sharp but there is fuzziness in parts of the picture when watching certain stations or programs. I thought it should have been much better considering I paid for the best. My 27 inch Sony didn't have this problem. I suspect that a 36" TV needs a better signal since it's larger. I want to bring it back to the store but what will I get then. The quality on a projection TV will be worse. I'm hoping a service personel will find something that may be out of adjustment. Similar Products Used: Sony 27 inch TV |
