Strength:
Price, Component inputs, Price, Picture Quality, did I mention Price?
Weakness:
My last TV was a 19" - what do you think? I Love this TV! After I did my homework and determined that this was the best priced 32" w/component inputs, my only goal was to get it locally at a decent price. I was disappointed that the best I could do was $699 w/$50 rebate at Best Buy (with free (read cheap) TV stand). But greediness aside, I've been thrilled with the TV from the word go. I've hooked up the Yahama C900 DVD player and the Yahama 595a receiver with Klipsch quintet speakers. We've watched several styles of movies (animated, action, drama, concert) even regular TV has never been this much fun. If you're a movie lover and, like I was, still in the stone ages (watching VHS on a 19" RCA), do yourself a favor; buy this TV and the DVD player of your choice. You'll not regret it. |

Price, Component Video Inputs I bought this TV at Best Buy after reading the reviews posted on this board. After running the video essentials dvd the picture is awesome. Component video output from my Toshiba 3109 dvd player looks great. If you're looking for something to hold you over till HDTV prices come down and don't want to spend the bucks on a Sony Wega or Panasonic flat screen then this is for you. |

Strength:
Great picture quality other than geometry problems.
Weakness:
Screen slightly pinched together on right side, slanted up a tad on the right. My one peeve that I have found with this TV is some minor (major to me though) geometry problems with the pincusion controls. When watching DVDs, the screen is quite noticably squeezed together of the right side and the upper left corner of the picture is also stanted upward. These are problems that are VERY annoying to me, but most people say that they would have never noticed if I didn't point it out. |

Strength:
Seems to be built well.
Weakness:
I have some issues with the picture. No PIP with component video Well, ever since I got this tv I have known that the picture could be better. Don't get me wrong, the picture is good, just not great, almost like it needs a little tune up. I have adjusted it with a setup DVD, but there are still some issues. Some people have a green tint and the color is not rich enough. If anyone out there has the same complaints out there, please don't hesitate to email me if you know how to fix it with service menus or what have you. Similar Products Used: Older RCA, hitachi |

Colour Stream
Weakness:
1 Colour stream/1 svhs input only. By far the best TV amongs its class (price and size). Picture quality is stable the factory default settings are a bit high... have to calibrate it properly for the proper picture quality.. i recommend buying a home av dvd disc that can help calibrate your tv. Great picture, Colorstream video in, Price
Weakness:
Heavy, 1st TV had problem Much like everyone else on this review, I really enjoy this television. I watch DSS on this baby and love it. The colors are crisp and very sharp. Wait until Best Buy has one of their 10% sales if you sign up for their card like I did. My price turned out like $525. A steal for this TV. And if you really want to make it look great, pick up the matching Toshiba TV stand. Mine draws lots of compliments now. Get the TV. |

PRICE, Clearity ,Component i/p
Weakness:
SVDO and VDO1 do not work in conjuction, PIP at $599 and $50 Rebate for Toshiba, this TV is a steal, competitors offer same TV no less than $800 with similiar features, nice colors, sharp, love the temp control, could have been more flatter and with one more SVDO i/p. Excellent picture quality, color stream inputs
Weakness:
flakey remote, no front jacks WOW! What an awesome TV! Why did I wait so ong to replace my 25" Zenith System 3? I was intending to wait for the HDTV, but could wait no longer. I'm glad I gave up on HDTV, because eveything (remote excluded) about this TV is great. Picture quality, (semi) flat screen, audio outputs, color stream inputs... I highly recommend this unit to anyone who has the space for it. I did however need to spend an extra $12 for a One4All remote, well worth it, as the Toshiba universal remote was very sluggish in controlling my cable box. Enjoy... |

Strength:
detail and color balance esp. w. component input, price
Weakness:
minor quality control, see other reviews This seems to be by far the best value out there in a 32 inch set (under $600 online), especially if like me your primary use is DVDs. It's the only major brand offering component video in this price range, and the picture quality when using it is indeed amazing -- the best you can get without spending over twice as much for a Wega or Panasonic Superflat. The trouble in paradise is that the model seems prone to idiosyncracies, as other reviews have noted. Interestingly, most have rated the set highly even if their particular unit had defects, and I suspect that is because for the price nothing else comes close performance-wise. Mine showed a slight slanting upwards of horizontal lines or titles in the upper left of the screen, evident on the top border of a letterbox image. Fortunately the set's 2 yr warrantee is for in-home service, which Toshiba honored even though I paid a bargain-basement price from Marketplace4U.com. The adjustment helped but did not completely correct this minor flaw. I decided I could live with it, especially after seeing the same behavior on other brands in a local store's showroom (Mitsubishi and Panasonic regular tubes). Bottom line, if you're a real perfectionist go for the Sony or Panasonic (Wega and Superflat). Otherwise this set with a Toshiba or other component-out DVD player ($200 from Amazon) is an unbeatable bargain. |

Strength:
Component Video, S-Video, PIP, clarity
Weakness:
PIP functionality quirky, RCA sheathes slipped off when removing monster cable hookups This is my first large TV, and I must say I am really impressed. Initially, I was concerned because the box overwhelmed my tiny New York apartment, pissing off my girlfriend, but I think we are both getting used to it. |
