By Dagogo’s Doug Schroeder – an independent high-end audio equipment reviewer
Bruce Brisson – Industry leader of high-end cable design, lead engineer and founder of MIT Cables answers questions from Doug Schroeder who sought and received clarification of the cable technology developed over the last 26 years at MIT Cables.
Audiophiles on either side of a so-called cable debate now have the chance to read Bruce Brisson’s explanations of cable characteristics, faults, and his solutions for addressing the inherent weakness in “just cable.”
From Dagogo’s website:
“Between the first and second quarter of 2010, Doug Schroeder and Bruce Brisson, founder and lead engineer of Music Interface Technologies Cables, exchanged emails on an article that Doug was preparing. The result is the present Interview article. Among the 27 Questions asked by Doug, Bruce sent a 1,371-word reply to one of the questions. The depth of inquiry by Doug throughout the article is unprecedented in Dagogo’s pages, and the revelations presented by Bruce’s extremely well written responses are an industry insider’s dream fulfilled. Dagogo is excited to share this in-depth interview article with our readers. Because of the length and scope of the article, it will be published in two parts. This is part 1 of 2.”

I went and read this after MIT Cables alerted us about the interview at audioevo.org. I must say that it was a real treat to read. We need more of the veterans of high-end audio to open up to interviewers more often. Kudos to Doug Schroeder for asking some great, in-depth questions. Kudos, too, to Bruce Brisson for sending such detailed answers. And kudos to dagogo.com for publishing it in, I assume, its entirety.
