This is a comment on the near gentleman who wasted the resources of a local retailer and then purchased his auditioned product mail-order. You deserve deafness.Since I do not want to distort the overall rating, I am registering 5 stars for this product.

How can anyone rate this unit a 1 star? Those jerks "Crap" and the other guy that submitted that very brief and misplaced review are obviously deaf or just stupid. The 2092 represents the best receiver on the market for the money and even a few hundred dollars more than its retail. You can pick up this unit for under $1200 mail order and its worth every penny !!!!

I bought the Rx2092 last Christmas ans I am veryimpressed with its performance. I use Paradigm speakers and a MK sub and this system rocks. My only gripe about this receiver is the lack of extra optical inputs. The Sony DVP-S7000 seems to sound better when connected with an optical cable. I use Monster interconnects throughout.
I am lucky my neighbors are nice because this receiver can really shake my floor!!

I love this amp. It sounds great, its got power, the tuner is very good (usually in my mind just bolted on in most recievers, and it really annoys my neighbours. The digital decoding is sharp as a brand new nail and the dsp modes for enhanced and 70mm surround are great.
The only beef I have is the lack of optical inputs but that is not the end of the world.

Great machine - you won't go wrong with this one

I have had this receiver now for a few months and I still think it's the first time I heard it when I turn it on. It's probably because I have never heard my music sound so good before. The amplifiers in this receiver crank! There is a room full of deep tight, pure bass. You know this has good amplifiers when you look at the high rating on the damping factor (200). The 7-channel mode adds depth to the sound stage and takes some of the effects off the good sounding front speakers. The rears are clear and detailed. I don't care about DTS because it will be dead before the year ends anyway.
I mail ordered this receiver and saved a ton of money. It was well worth it.

I just bought it because the price is so attractive (US$720),sounds great but remote is too big, not too convience, but overall preformance is the best in that price range. I didn't buy the dsp-a1 coz it's still too expenses and there are not much dts software in the market, i will wait till the price dropped more than upgrade to it.
