Greatest thing since sliced bread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Compared to Nakamichi, Denon, Onkyo, and Kenwood.
Blew them away.

70mm Movie Theater is awesome for DVD and DSS. Concert Hall for CD.

Need to upgrade my front effects speakers, though, cause they just can't
compete with my mains.

I recently purchase the 2092 and got it for a steal. They stereo shop had mis-priced itbelow $900. I debated on spending the $1200 plus originally, but gobbled it up at that steal of a
price. Anyway, I matched the system up across the board with Klipsch KB2's and it rocks.
I added an Energy ES12 150 watt subwoofer, which I got at half price, and can barely
keep my wife's knick knacks on the shelves and the sofas on the floor. It thumps!
I am still learning the mega remotes functions, but so far it has been no problem to operate.
I am still trying to balance the rear surrounds with the rest of the system, I have not got
the rears fine tuned to give me the true surround effect, but I'm getting there.
I definitely would recommend this receiver. I love listening to music and this system
steps up and cranks, especially with the DSP modes. I really liked the Denons five channel stereo, but
the Disco DSP mode seems to work just fine.
I shopping for a DVD, any suggestions?

This is the best receiver in this (an maybe all) price range, there's simple nothing i dont like in it, and the mos important part... sound in Dolby AC-3 and Pro Logic is superb, detailed, dynamic ... amaizing. Pair it with a Big (and i mean big 40" or more) widescreen TV and a good DVD player and you will have a good reason to not be upset if all the movie teathers in the world close at once.
Congratulations Yamaha.

I have owned this receiver for about 2 months, and i think it's a very good buy.I have used it for movies with my Toshiba SD2108 DVD player and it's amaizing, i like it very much in AC3-Enhanced mode in 7-ch (PSB Century 600 main, Century 200C center, Century 300 Rear, PSB Subsonic 2 subwoofer and Altec front effects).
Very good for music, i really like the Disco an hall modes.
The only thing i don´t like abou this receiver is the price, here in México you have to paid about $1,700 for it, that really sucks.
