Yes its true, what the other reviewers are saying about this cable that is. This cable really does improve the bass response of my sub noticeably. My sub now blends seamlessly with my main speakers the way a sub should. The bass is smooth, rich, and full. I was using a Radio Shack Gold cable before but switched when I read the reviews. I have only listened to my system playing music, which I consider to be a much more stringent test than listening to explosions on DVD. My system consists of ATI 1505 power amp, Proceed AVP pre/pro, Toshiba SD-9000 DVD player, Rotel CD transport, Cambridge Soundworks Tower IIs main speakers, Centerstage, Powered Subwoofer I, and Optimus Pro NX 77 for surround speakers. All cables and speaker wire are Monster Cable M series.

That pale white coated can be painted any color to match decor. For half price, this sub cable can't beat. Good for twenty foot runs also.

This is the first subwoofer cable I have ever used so I can't compare it to others. I bought this cable based on the positive reviews here. I am not a fan of Monster but wanted to make a $99.00 KLH subwoofer sound it's best. I don't know whether it was stuffing the subwoofer cabinet with more insulation, placing the subwoofer on a patio block, using Monster cable, or maybe all three, contributed to how good this subwoofer now sounds. Some of you may laugh at the thought of using this subwoofer in any system, but when the wife acceptance factor keeps you from buying expensive equipment you have to work with what you can. Anyway, I would recommend this cable to anyone thinking of using it, and would highly recommend the KLH ASW-10. After modifications it sounds better than most of the Yamahas, and no worse than several others I heard in the 200-300 dollar price range. Sorry if this sounds more like a review for the subwoofer, but I just want to let people who are on a tight budget know about these products and how they work together.

Well, let me just say that I have gone around and around with my opinion of Monster cable. I do think their speaker cable is garbage for the most part, but it's all relative. It depends on what you are comparing it too and what the rest of your system consists of. I had only used Interlink 400 and various speaker cables before using this sub cable. Interlinks are a cheap upgrade from patch cable and definitely an improvement, but there are plenty of better interconnects, even for the same amount of money. All Monster speaker cable I have used has been a serious disappointment in comparison to anything other than "ripcord". But the sub cable is just about the only thing they make that I would consider "audiophile" grade material. It does noticeably improve sound quality and I would say it's of reasonable quality to use even with the highest end equipment. Great dynamics and an overall very pleasing improvement in sound. I mentioned the RCA connectors as a strength only because I have used a wide range of cables, and the connectors on all Monster cables generally have some of the best contact of any I have used.
They always make a very tight fit to any component, and they retain that over any period of time I have used them. I have used interconnects costing hundreds of dollars that have not made as good a contact with my components. Even if you are into the really high end stuff like MIT, Kimber, Audioquest, etc, as I am, give this cable a listen, even if you only plan to use it as a temp until you can afford a much more expensive sub cable. I haven't felt a real need to upgrade from it yet.

Recently paired up a Klipsch ksw-12 with a Denon 3300. This was fron a Sony str-de835/Yamaha yst-sw80 combo. After initial hook-up I was disappointed by the bass reproduction of the ksw-12. I used the same Shack Gold cable as with the sony/yamaha. The volume was lower without the impact. Hmmm ?
I then added a Gold Series "Y" adapter and better but still not worth the $$ factor. I figured I had enough money in my combo that an extra $28. wouldn't kill me for a 2.5m dedicated sub cable(local return policies CANNOT be beat).
Once hooked up and ready to go,I hit the power button and ?
VIOLA !! The sound improvement was quite dramatic. I didn't believe alot of cable hype but I believe in this product. The bass is very clean and tight w/o any hint of boominess.
If you're going to spend some decent $$ on a power sub don't skimp on the "connects". You'll be very happy.

Strength:

THX certified!!!!! That right there sold me because I know LucasFilm Ltd has very high standards. Braided shielding for hum and noise rejection. Wide dynamic range and natural music reproduction. 24K Gold contact for lower distortion, better signal transer and corrosion resistance.

Weakness:

None whatsoever.

I must admit that at first I struggled with the thought of purchasing subwoofer cables for the price range they were selling at. I bought my InterLink 201 Subwoofer cable from Amazon.com for $29.99 which in my opinion is a great deal for the quality and performance you get out of the cable. The listening test I used was for audio CDs. One of my music CDs in particular sounded very muddy with the old recoton cables. Well after I connected the Interlink 201 cable I was very pleased to hear tight, defined, powerful, deep solid bass. I am a drummer and a bass player and I was amazed at how tight and resonsive the kick drum sounded. With the old cables the kick drum was more of a whoomf than it was a pronounced thud. Even the bass guitar tracks come out clearer.

For Home Theater, the LFE stuff is even louder & clearer. I have to turn the volume down now because this cable delivers clean room filling/shaking bass.

You are doing your decent subwoofer an injustice if you connect inferior quality cables to it. Your subwoofer will only sound as good as the cable hooked up to it and that's an understatement. Hop over to www.monstercable.com and read the technical specs on the Interlink 201 cable.

I am more than pleased with the Interlink 201 subwoofer cable. It has met and exceeded all my expections.

What can I say? It is a cable. I really don't think a sub cable warrants $39.99. Luckily I told this to the salesman when I ordered my sub. Got it for $30. Still too much money in my opinion but I figure good reviews, need a cable or my sub aint working, and comes with T connector for stereo line level inputs. 'Nuff said.

I hate Monster Cable as they are overpriced. Thus, I went with another speaker cable manufacturer for my other 5 speakers as the less business I can give them the better. But for the sub cable they seem to get decent reviews and local dealers say the same - "Not bad, better than your average sub cable". So I bought it. Sub works great, no noise, 4 meters and white cable (thumbs up on this call Monster).

Not much else to say for a sub cable. Sorry guys, a cable is a cable as long as it is shielded decently, has low resistance and doesn't 'color' your low frequency information.

I'm very pleased with this sub-cable. It really hits those lows very accurately. I use this cable with my newly purchased Cerwin-Vega HTS-15A (15") 200 Watt powered subwoofer, and wow!!!!!! What a difference it makes with the THX certified cable. I actually receive more bass than standard RCA cables on the market. Don't play around, if your serious about bass signals, then get serious about your "fuel line", your sub will definately run cooler, lower, louder and CLEANER!!! You have my honest word on that!! I Highly, Highly recommend the Monster Cable Interlink 201 THX Subwoofer cable. You can't go wrong with a real cable winner!! Forthought: "how you feed your sub, will determine how it feeds you!"

Look at best buy store, what cheap cable they use. But all the subs work.
I brought a 10" cable form recton-direct.com for $2. it is similar to monster cable. The only difference is on the RCA adopter. Why pay 40% premium for a $200 sub.
I think it is 1,000%(right) overpriced. Its real price should be $4-10. Not recommand for hard working people. Go to recton. They have 12 gauge 30" wires for $3. Monster cost you $30.

I don't own recton stocks, no am i their salesman
