i found a radio shack that had 8 pairs of these and changed all my cheapo interconnects. boy did they made a difference! at first they actually sounded a bit muffled. but after i burned it for 2+ days the sound stage became wider, the bottom really opened up, and the highs shined! |

Thanks to CB for the catalog number. Found a bunch of these at a local Radio Shack, all at $5.99/pair. Clerk was surprised, did not know they were on sale until he punched it into the computer. Whoever said that the appearance is dead ringer for the Monster Interlink 400 was 100% correct. The appear to be identical. Great bank for the buck as far as tweaks go. Does anyone know if these can be used for composite video between a VCR and TV? |

I agree, we are seeking the reproduction of MUSIC (like Kenny G is Music, hah Musac maybe) The return on investment does not need to be linear. I think even a 50% improvement from a cable like Kimber PBJ justifies a price 4 times higher. I would gladly pay even more for another 50% improvement. I have actually had these cables in my system, before I bought a pair of PBJ's (then Hero's, then Silver Bullets on the net, used of course, I agree the prices do get crazy). At the time I had a Sony rack system and didn't notice the difference too much ( I stress too much because I did notice some, mainly the midrange was "clearer") But with the purchase of new higher end gear (Mid-fi NAD) I did notice a much greater improvement. I have even tried the blind testing on my Wife. Admitidly she didn't notice a difference between the Radio Shack and the other cables until I put in the Silver ones, then she noticed something (she couldn't say, but it sounded "better") |

Let's be a little more precise here just to keep from confusing people.I think that the cable that Dunlavy refers to is the standard Radio Shack gold plated interconnect coming in 1m, 2m, etc. |

I like these cables. They are very good for what I paid for them, the MRSP. I didn't get lucky to get them for 6 dollars. Frank Van Alstine uses/recommands these when using his components. They are excellent cables. |

Frank talks about measurements, but provides no statistical information to back up his claim. On the other hand, a quick check of Dejanews provides a very insightful quote from John Dunlavy, about these very cables: |

These are outstanding audio cables at a fraction of the cost of Monster Cable. |
