Bad pickup

Add me to the list of "NO DISK" or C13:00 errors on this player. Picture was great when it works.

The Sony Name

I would like my name in the hat as well. I bought a sony dvd player Dvp S360 as well and I been getting no disc error. I have been loyal to Sony so hopefully they will do the same and do the right thing. I Keep you in business, remember.

Sony Customer Service not admitting that there is a problem with this model

After only playing a few discs, the player started giving occasional c13 and no disc errors. This gradually got worse and got to the point of the player not being usable. After being misled by Sony, I paid Best Buy 25 dollars to get a repair estimate for the "laser pickup" that was equal to what I paid for the unit. Sony should make good with a product recall. A class action suit appears to be in order.

Strength:

Worked pretty good for 12 months. Might work as a boat anchor if it is heavy enough.

Weakness:

Probably too light to be an effective boat anchor.

Error C:13:00! Thought I had a dirty disk! Tried to clean it! Didn't work! Logged on to the internet to research problem. BINGO! Here I am with the rest of you. Just sent an email to mgreen@gttlawyers.com to try to get involved with class action lawsuit. Not sure if anything will become of this, but I can guarantee you that I will never spend another $$ on any Sony product if this problem is not resolved. How can they not admit that there is a problem?

Strength:

The tray still opens....wait....O.K. good, I was pushing the wrong button.

Weakness:

Displays "Insert Disc" when there is already a disc inside. A major weakness in my opinion.

Bought this DVD player as a birthday present to my girlfriend. I just found out I had a problem yesterday when I went to watch a movie, got half way through and got C13:00 message and "Insert Disc". I never expected this. I have a SONY! I figured how could I go wrong. Does thing have a timer that suddenly turns it to junk? Everyone here has the EXACT problem. Doesn't anything else go wrong with this thing. Obviously a manufacturer's defect. Please let me know of any updates. This really pisses me off!

Strength:

looks good, but you don't buy a dvd player just for looks.

Weakness:

stops working between 1-2 years.

SONY DVD PLAYER MODEL DVP-S360. Take my advice, "do not get a SONY DVD Player!". At only a year and a half old my dvd player started skipping and finally tonight it does not read and dvd. I get a no disc error. I will never buy a sony product again.

Strength:

It worked fine for about 15 months.

Weakness:

It stopped.

I once had a Sony receiver that started smoking. I once had a Sony CD changer that refused to accept CDs. And now I have a Sony DVD player that won't accept DVDs. I'm such a moron for buying from them a third time. But never again.

Strength:

Works well when new, awesome plyer.

Weakness:

Lasts 12-18 months with casual use.

Well her we go. I had friends and family over for the memorial day weekend to enjoy beer and brats, and the occasional 5.1 suuround. I am a loyal Sony customer, but they have dropped the ball on this one. The infamous C 13:00 and the no disk error. I triend every trick in the book to get this damn thing to play. Cleaning disk, components, inner workings, the whole nine yards. Worked well when worked. This just falls right in line with everyone else's dilemma. Thinking about writing Sony Corp.

Strength:

When it worked, very nice picture and sound quality.

Weakness:

Picture and sound quality are pretty meaningless when you can't get a movie to play due to "C:13:00" and "No Disc" errors.

Add me to the list of victims of the Sony DVP-S360. Have had the player for a little over a year, and now will not play movies at all due to the "C:13:00" and "No Disc" errors. The problems started a few months after getting the player, and I just assumed they were related to rental discs. Movies would get about two-thirds of the way through, and then refuse to finish, giving the "C:13:00" error. The problems got progressively worse, to the point where now it won't play movies at all. Very disappointing that Sony hasn't stepped up to the plate to correct what is obviously a defective product.
