Excellent center channel speaker. I bought it for a mere $69 from Ubid. With shipping I ended up just under $100 to my door. Great power handling and clarity. It replaced a Polk CS150 Center. There is no comparison. Matches very well sonically with my Phase Technology main speakers. This baby will pump out everything present in the center channel, period. Goes low and has an excellent tweeter that gives smooth highs, never piercing. For this price, it would be hard to go wrong if the speaker just worked. It does much more. Thanks to all who reviewed the speaker here. I bought it unheard, based on the reviews. I have not been disappointed

This center channel is CRAZY for the price I ppaid for it. There is NO way I would pay $400 for the Polk 400 or the Infinity IL36 for $500. This center is as good as both.

I have had this speaker for a week and have tried many different movies/music to test its capabilities. I was looking to get an Infinity cc-3 to match my Rs-5 mains. The Rs line is being phased out and the remaining cc-3's are not being sold as cheap as they used to be(popular due to good sound).The best in-stock price I could find was $ 245./delivered. After seeing good reviews on the BIC dv62clr , I went to the audio shop to audition. I compared it to the cc-2 and polk 400. The dv62clr was just sooo much fuller and warmer than the cc-2. Musical dvd's shined. Being a BIG speaker ( 25 in.W x 12 in.d x 7 3/4 in.h ), it really handles low bass effects very well. It has a freq response of 43Hz-20kHz and the lows are nice. It has dual ports to the rear. It compared favorably to the polk but the price swayed me. After listening to it in unison with the Rs-5's I was sold. My unit was the last one and they offered it to me for $120. . It was on the top shelf and we all know how much center speakers are auditioned so I bought it. I knew before listening to it that it is based on a 4 yr old design. I also knew that BIC still makes them and continues to upgrade parts/cross-overs/etc. I guess why mess with a good thing.They also back it with a full 7 yr. warranty parts/labor! Being known as a cheap speaker company , BIC often gets overlooked. If you have the room ( mine sits atop of a 50" Ultravision ), you should give this speaker a fair audition. Forgetting about price I think you would be very surprised. Considering the price , I think you would say "WOW". This is probably the best price/sounding center speaker out there.

I just entered a long, and I think thoughtful, review of this unit. In the course of it I said that since the speaker sounds so good, no one should "b**ch" about the cabinet size. That word got identified as "profanity" and the system deleted the entire review. I'm not retyping it.

Suffice it to say this is an excellent speaker, and you'll have to trust me that I should know.

excellent center channel speaker. you can spend more money for brands such as Infinity, Bose, etc and not get any better quality in performance so why spend the money. you will not be disappointed with this speaker if used with a surround sound set up. Cabinet design is nice and designed for low profile. Overall it's slightly long as a result of
trying to keep the profile low but the overall performance
of the speaker makes up for it's one weakness.

I don't know much about center channel speakers, but after reading about this one the concensus has it. This is a great little, uh, I mean big speaker. The sound is awesome for a center channel, it really sounds like a 500.00 speaker. For the price you can find these things you are basically stealing the best sounding speaker in the market. It is rather large so some TV's and shelves may have trouble accomodating it. The grill also has two ribbon tabs on either side that look pretty weak, but I never remove it so it really doesn't matter, and the connector nuts are plastic, would have like to have seen gold, but hey for 89.00 I'll deal. Highly recommend, this one is a sleeper.

Very expensive sound

I bought this from ebay from a guy who had two of these speakers and I thank God it's working fine. As I did on my surround BICs (please read my comment on BIC DV62si)with this speaker it sound more efficient now than ever. I gave it a lot more padding though, hoping it would handle more power and this speaker is doing it with class! Plainly put it, If I sell this center speaker now I would not give it for less than $500.00.

be aware of the size before buying..if I had to knock anything on this it would be the grill...if i was to get picky...it kinda hard to get off and somewhat poor design

This center channel does it job and does it very well at that. The dialogue is great on movies, which is what i use it on the most. I hardly use it on music, so i can't give a justified opinion on that...this can be bought on ubid very cheap...makes my old venturi 52v center sound like a small 3 1/2 inch driver...the 62clr sounds a WHOLE LOT BIGGER! highly recommended!
