I just picked up this speaker yesterday after more than two weeks of looking around the city. I ended up getting it at the Wiz - not my favorite place in the world but I couldn't wait for JandR. For some reason all klipsch products are sold at retail price at the Wiz. I got this speaker for $300, although JandR will have it in two weeks for $274.99. This is my first center channel speaker and it is delightful. Extremely accurate reproduction with unbeilavable clarity. I am running this speaker with a pair of Klipsch CF 2s and from what I can tell the sonic blend is pretty good. The only thing I find weird is that I cannot run the center channel along with my main speakers for CD playback. It seems you can only play though the mains or the center but not both. This is a minor sidebar. The speaker sound is terrific and the unit is not overwhelmingly large like the KLF-C7, which certain folks had been urging me to buy. I also feel terrific that I have the latest center channel from Klipsch. Terrific sound from a company that I have been listening to for almost 10 years now. Five starts without winkin an eye. |

I bought this speaker about a month ago from United Audio. My mains are KSP-400's and I find the that this speaker blends very well with them. Highly recommended. |

Strength:
Excellent sound-clarity and style of speakers
Weakness:
So Far None Found The reference system provides so much more detail on CDs that I have listened to for years. I would recommend the RF3s and the complete sytem to anyone looking for a great sound at a really good price. Similar Products Used: Pioneer |

Weakness:
larger box than I want it to have. This is a great speaker. I don't know what a person who favors Paradigm speakers for anything would be doing listening to a Klipsch. Black cat vs Yellow Cat if you ask me. Paradigm rolls off too much to be considered listenable. klipsch speakers present music and dialogue in the same way it is heard in a good music hall or theater. Every detail dances in the air before you, instead of somewhere near the boxes that contain the drivers. If you like Klipsch speakers (or even any speaker with decent high frequency drivers..like B&W) you'll love this center. Similar Products Used: B&W, Klipsch Heresys, Klipsch Rp-3 |

Strength:
great clarity with smooth, clean, warm sound
Weakness:
none after longing to assemble a reference h.t./audio system within reasonable price, i now have to say this center speaker(still working on matching fronts) is one of my best investments for a center speaker in the $300+ range. i was told that klipsch speakers with their "horns", would either be "loved or hated". i happen to fall into the "love" category and realize once again that those who would hate a speaker of this kind would be the ones who made the mistake of not buying it. to begin, the thing is heavy(a complaint some have), but i don't mind since i'm not holding it, my shelf is. but, the performance of this speaker, by far, outweighs its physical weight. i still haven't really cranked it to extreme levels since i have to go through break-in period, but i did give a generous amount of power while playing it solo(all other speakers off) and after hearing the clear, smooth and warm sound emitted from the horns that some hate so much, i asked myself, why didn't i get this a long time ago?. the efficiency is excellent(also stated in previous reviews) and i could here diologue very well at lower volume levels. to sum it up, the horns should not deter anyone from trying this product. i will be getting matching "r-series" fronts to mate with this speaker, just not sure which ones yet. i do know i won't be the least dissatisfied though. excellent fidelity, attractive looking cabinet, well-built The speaker has brought my center channel to life! I always turn off the tv speaker now, and turn on the stero on 5.1 DPL for even regular tv shows becuase that Klip is so amazing. There is never any distortion or coloration of the sound.
