Strength:
exceptional dialogue/ build quality
Weakness:
none so far Had to rewatch all my DVDs when I hooked this speaker up with Studio 20's for left and right. Excellent timbral match and I've never had any problems with relative loudness levels across the front. It's a little big though for my 27 inch set! |

Strength:
Voice quality, realistic sounds, matching to Studio 100's
Weakness:
A bit large and heavy Due to its size, the wife made me place it on top of the entertainment system, not on the shelf just above the TV. This was OK, but on occasion, you would notice the voices and sound were a foot above the TV. Finally a few nights ago I got the center speaker on the shelf just above the TV by playing musical chairs with the wife's decorations. |

Strength:
Natural vocals, lifelike reproduction of on-screen action. Well built. Can be bi-wired.
Weakness:
Size somewhat limits placement (angling). I have this center channel to voice match my Studio 40s. On-screen action effects sound lifelike. Voices are clear and articulate. Sound effects pan effortlessly across the screen with no change in tone or timbre. There is no hint of chesty or nasal-like sound I’ve experienced with so many other center channels. Strength:
integration with studio 60's
Weakness:
little on the large side but not a problem with my set-up Purchased the Paradigm studio series based on reviews seen here. very satisfied with the performance of this center channel speaker. With the B&W I had to strain to hear whispers and softer sounds. Got tired of being asked what the actor had said. Not a problem with the Paradigm studio cc. Great on 5 channel music as well. Strength:
Highs, midrange, lows, price!! Basically everything.
Weakness:
None that I can see so far. I have only had this for around a month so far, but am very happy with my choice. I upgraded from a Polk LS350 speaker. I liked the Polk, but changed my front speakers, so needed this to match. I look forward to many years of happy listening. You can see my system in the "My System" portion of the Gallery on this site. Similar Products Used: Polk Audio LS350 |

Strength:
Cleanly handles loud volume levels. As close to a full range tranducer as any centre channel speaker out there in the "reasonable" price range.
Weakness:
none comes to mind As part of my planned upgrade program, I placed this Reference CC v2 in my system two weeks ago along with the "delicately detailed" Anthem AVM-20 pre-pro. The amplification is the Anthem MCA-5 at 200w/ch & the main stereo pair, Studio 100 v2. This centre channel is a perfect match, blending seamlessly. It has all the sonic & construction qualities of the 100's. Similar Products Used: Infinity video 1 |

Are you kidding After straining to hear voices on my old polk audio, I decided not get cheap ever again on the center speaker. My wife decided she wanted to vist Seattle so I seen my chance to go to Vancouver and buy Paradigm studio 60's v2 real wood, studio CC center,PW-2200 sub and Mini monitors with premeir j-60 stands for $2200.00 total.Saved over a $800.00 and had a great time doing it! but the CC is one of the best centers I have ever heard reguardless of price. Strength:
Build quality, dual gold-plated binding posts for bi-wiring, clarity, and excellent match for Studio 20's.
Weakness:
Can size really be considered a weakness? After upgrading my front speakers from the Paradigm Monitor Series to the Reference Series, I was not immediately impressed with the Studio 20's. Of course, after an extensive break in period, they sound absolutely incredible now. The Studio CC, on the other hand, was noticeably clearer than the CC-350 I had before. That's not to say that the CC-350 sounded bad, but in comparison, just did not have as much clarity to offer as the Studio CC. Before, I always listened to music from only 2 channels as most audiophiles would agree is the ONLY way to listen to music. However, with the Studio CC, I find myself wandering over to the club mode of my Pre-AmpProcessor and being quite please with how it sounded - especially with vocals. I still think 2 channel is the best way to hear music as it was meant to sound. However, the Studio CC definitely gives you the option to hear music in different modes without hardly any loss in sound quality. Strength:
accuracy, blends perfectly with other paradigm reference speakers
Weakness:
none. none. none. I think the best compliments one can give to a center channel speaker are 1) that the sound is natural and accurate without coloration of voices; and 2) the speaker effortlessly handles dynamics and shows no sign of strain or hiccuping. Similar Products Used: Infinity,Klipsch |
