Sound is not that clear

The white van has arrived in Melbourne, Australia.

He wanted A$800, but I managed to bring it down to A$400 for a pair, about US$240. They are called Acoustic 3312 Studio Monitor. These speakers are nothing but loud. Like someone said, they are good for party...

Got to be more careful mate...

My friend bought a pair of the 3312 out of the back of an Escalade, the younger kids were driving around. Looked them up when I got home, an found out he wasn't the only one. Big scam. Orlando don't buy speakers out of a back of a car, white van, or even an white Escalade. See how far you can talk them down, I bet they would have gone lower than $100 ea., then walk away.

I have not purchased these speakers, nor have I heard them. But based on the reviews here, I don't think that I am missing them. Just thought I'd let you guys know that I noticed these speakers online at the following website...

Loud when the correct amp is applied

When correct amp is applied, sound is unreconizible.
Otherwise, sound is not terribly good.

Wow. I had no idea that this operation was so widespread. I bought these things right before sophomore year. As in a number of other stories here, my speakers were not very well cared for during the past few years. It looks as though I've been lucky, though... mine are still *functioning* despite the abuse. Interesting thing... we pumped them up on "Slope Day" (a campus-wide party at the end of the year), and you could actually hear them across campus. Of course, you couldn't make out a signal through all the distortion...
A note to anyone looking to buy a pair of these bad boys... they sound just as good at low volumes!
At $125 for the pair, it looks like I got one of the best deals on the list. Woo-hoo! Ripped off the least! But it took some bargaining to get them down from the *MSRP* of $749 each (I remember it distinctly...).

The sound is fair at best. I like my old system better and in my small apartment, I don't need to crank it up all the way.

Encountered two guys in a black SUV. It looks like they're phasing out the old white vans that I've read about from the other postings. Same routine..about the boss giving him extra speakers..they're normally $850 each...blah, blah..

Paid $180.00

Learned some old lessons today:
1) There's a sucker born every minute
2) Size doesn't matter (In this case)

Well folks;
for me this was a hard but effective lesson in life never to forget: don't buy things of the street.

Warning:
The 2 White Van people that you might meet in the future are that much of skilled salespeople they are able to sell you their moring pee for $500 a bottle.
So a goodlooking speakerset is a piece of cake for them to sell to you.
Even though you just bought a good and expensive set a week ago, have no possible way of carrying them home, are low in budget, have doubts and never bought of the street before; They WILL make you go home with at least one of this worthless set of things that look like speakers.

If you meet them; run away.

Mids and highs are clean. Good seperation

Bass is not as strong as other speakers i have used

overall the sound is crisp and clear you here all the highs. The bass doesnt do the speakers justice. when listening the music with bass, i feel i shoukld be enveloped in the music as if its surrounding me, and these unfortunatly don't do that.
