Strength:

They sure can cry about losing business!

Weakness:

If I only had a calculator...

It''s about time that AudioReview acknowledges that these speakers are cheap as hell and fraudulantly sold! And don''t be so mad (talking to the 5 star rating White Van Salesmen.. err.. I mean reviewers who are desparate in trying to convince the public that these speakers are actually worth purchasing?! HAHHAHA!!! Man.. all I have to say is.. I bet you this site must give you GREAT business... better luck next time.. because your public image only gets worse as time goes on...

ASS KICKING SOUND FROM SOMETHING LIKE LOOK SMALL BUT VERY TOUGH AND COOL...LIKE JET LI

Weakness:

THE LOSERS LIKE PIERRE WHO BASHED THESE SPEAKERS BECAUSE THEY''RE TOO CHEAP TO OWN A DECENT STEREO OTHER THAN K-MART BRAND LIKE

GREAT SOUND FOR A VERY LOW PRICE. IF YOU''RE A GOOD NEGOTIATOR. WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE LOSERS WHO BOUGHT THESE SPEAKERS AND DON''T EVEN PLUG THEM IN???? I OWN MANY DIFFERENT BRANDS OF SPEAKERS AND I HAVE BEEN WRTING REVIEWS ON THEM FOR MANY YEARS, BUT I HAVE NEVER RAN ACROSS A SPEAKER MODEL THAT GOT REVIEWS BY PEOPLE WHO DON''T EVEN PLUG IN THE SPEAKERS. WHAT THE HELL KIND OF IDIOTS WRITE REVIEWS ON SOMETHING THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD???? I GUESS THE KIND OF IDIOTS WHO PROBABLY DON''T OWN A HOME THEATER OR A DECENT STEREO TO ACTUALLY PLUG IN THE SPEAKERS THEY BOUGHT. THESE ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO PROBABLY OWN BRAND NAMES LIKE ADIOVOX BY K-MART ETC. HEY YOU LOSERS, STOP WASTING OUR TIME AND GET A REAL AMP, PLUG THE DAM ACOUSTIC IMAGE OR WHATEVER THE HELL YOU HAVE BOUGHT AND THEN WRITE THE REVIEWS. OK. AS FOR ME, I NEGOTIATED WITH THE FUNNY LOOKING GUYS IN THE VAN AND GOT A GOOD DEAL. I ACTUALLY HAD A DRINK WITH THEM. WENT HOME, PLUG IN THE SPEAKERS, CRANKED UP THE VOLUME, AND WATCHED JET LI KICKED SOME ASS AND I LOVED THE SOUND THAT WAS COMING OUT OF THE SUROUND SYSTEM THROUGH THESE SO CALLED SCAM SPEAKERS. I ALSO OWN SPEAKERS BY BOSE, JBL, KENWOOD, AND INFINITY AND I TELL YOU....ACOUSTIC IMAGE KNOCKED THEIR SOCKS OFF ANY DAY. PEACE!!

Strength:

People just can''t resist getting something for nothing (or next to that) even when they KNOW better.

Weakness:

Other people are aware of the above, and don''t hesitate to use it to their advantage.

Didn''t fall for the scam I encountered it in February 2001 in St. Louis Park, MN shopping center parking lot. I do know there''s a lot of unhappy campers out there though. Just to get a notion of how big the scam is, check not only the postings on this site, but check out www.ripoffreport.com.

small in size...BIG IN SOUND

Weakness:

The tactics to sell these seems shady but the guys in the vans are doing the same thing retails stores do...mark-up the retail price and tell the buyers they''re getting them for a bargain.

This reviews is a continuation of the review below by Luke......I was in a hurry so I gave the guys $200. They were shocked since I told them I only had $5 in my pocket. I told them they''re lucky since I am in a hurry. They asked for more money since they saw I had a lot more than $200. I told them I''m actually doing them a favor since I don''t even know if the speakers will work when I get home. They could be the guys who show you nice speakers or stereos and then give you a box of bricks telling you that you should take the box that has not been opened yet. This is another scam that has been going on for many many years. They told me I could take the box that I''ve already opened and looked at. I was in a rush so when they asked me for beer money, I gave them another $10. When I got home, I realized that Acoustic Image specialized in Amps for musicians who perform with acoustics instruments. I went on this site immediately to see what I can find perhaps they have branched out into the home theater speakers arena. I was upset at first to find out that it''s a different company. However, I decided to hook up the speakers first before getting mad. I used an amp with a rating of 200 watt to match the speakers. An equalizer with a rating of 25Hz to 25kHz. This is important since you want to make sure the sound going into the speakers is much better than the speakers rating to cover all the highs and lows. I also used a sound enhancer and effects by Quadraverb. I cranked the volume almost to the max and I was extremely impressed. Let me re-phrased that, I was rockin'' like a hurricane. Also, I put in a CD with songs on it that I have specifically designed to test the sound in the recording studio. These are songs that I have measured the bass, mid, and treble level to be the highest that is possible. Again, the sound that was coming out blew me away. I was happy! The speakers kick ass. But, did I pay too much for them??? I love bargains and that''s why I bought these thinking that they''re worth more than what I paid for. But after reading the reviews, I wanted to get the lowest price. Some people paid only $100 for them. I decided to go see the distributor the next day to re-negotiate. I told him I love the speakers, but I want 2 more for the $210 I''ve paid. He agreed after giving me a hard time but I like the guy. He''s very cool!

Strength:

Very tight Bass. Excellent mid range. Outstanding high (Titanium)

Weakness:

Not meant to be hook up to average amp which probably most of you on this site own

One of the best speaker I''ve heard. Let me tell you my story on how I got these speakers. I was on my way to see a client to sell them my music CDs and Tapes when these two guys pulled up in a white van. They asked if I wanted a home theater system. I asked them to be more specific since there are many components in a home theater like the screen (if you have a LCD projector for example), then there are the speakers, amplifier, equalizer, pre-amp, DVD player, Laser-Disc player (4 different size format, not to be confuse with DVD players since these came out around 11 or 12 years ago). Anyway, I''m trying to make a point here on this review and also to the guys in the van that I am an expert on audio and video systems since I am a sound engineer for a recording studio and a graduate in Film & Visual Communications from Columbia University. The guys in the van were excited that I knew a lot about home theaters. They on the other hand, did not seems to know too much other than the speakers they were trying to sell to me. One of the guy''s name was Efran, he asked me what kind of TV I have for my home theater. I laughed because if you have a regular TV for a home theater, you''re really missing out on the real experience of a large screen format. Even if you have one of those large screen TV, you''re not enjoying the best there is. Again, I''m getting side tracked from the review of this speaker but all this has a point. I''m not a novice when it comes to audio/visual equipments. The guys in the vans gave me the usual pitch everyone on this review sites has already written. I ignored all the things they said to me. I asked them to let me see the rating and the descriptions of the speakers. I read them and was impressed with two things: 1) Bi-amplification and Bi-polar tech. 2) Titanium dome tweeter I asked them how much they wanted for the speakers. They counter with how much do I have. Again I laughed because I am also a sales man and I use the same techniques that they are using on me. I told them I have maybe a few dollars in my pocket. They asked me to go to an ATM and also how much would I pay for the speakers. Again I told them I have maybe $5 dollars in my pocket and that I would pay about $200 for the speakers. Let me tell you why. At this time, I was also impressed with the name Acoustic Image. continued...

4/19/01 I was on my way to the autopart. I stopped at a gas station, when 2 young men approached me and practically told me the same story I am reading now in the review section. I thought it was a good deal. But one of them was very intrusive and was acting like a drug adict, which made me a bit suspicious. Despite that, I decied to buy the speakers. I rushed back home and got on the internet only to find out that it was a scam.

Weakness:

NEVER- I mean NEVER buy any equipment form scammers again, if its not being sold ina store, DONT BUY IT!!!!!!

Well, I could have killed my husband...he bought these same speakers from probably the same white van in HOme Depot parking lot. They told him some sob story that they were supposed to go to Circuit City, but they had too many or something. We went to Circuit City to see what else we would have to buy to hook it up. Well Circuit City doesn''t even sell Acoustic Image brand stuff. I think that maybe the 1200 they were saying they cost, is for the whole system, not just the 2 towers..if anyone paid that much, they got ripped...the damn things don''t even come with the cables!!! We have to at least buy an amp for those to be hooked up, so I guess as long as they work, it might be worth it...

i like how some of you keep defending this company with all of your "valid" points. i think its immensely funny how people keep bringing up, "you can get a refund so the company is ok". if ive called 15 different counties for their business licensing records and then called every number posted about Soundivision or acoustic image, and then the better business bureau, and god knows who else to track this company down etc, and still cant find their location in georgia, what good does a refund do me? hey everyone, ill have a million dollars here for free. im a great guy, im offering all you people a million dollars. all you have to do is come and get it! thats stupid, and yet thats what the last guy said. however, i have been able to use the speakers and they sound great with my stereo. but, obviously, the offer of a refund means nil when the company keeps itself so well hidden.
