I agreed to pay 400 and he said make it 420 for obvious reasons.(If you do not know what 420 is, you do not deserve to know.) I don't know man you guys posting these evil reviews full of hate, I don't understand. What ever happened to AMERICA. I am an American, an entreprenuer and respect other entreprenuers regaurdless if they are selling out of a store with marble floors, the inside of thier coat in manhattan, or a van. What does it matter, Home of the brave land of the FREE! Free enterprise, thats what I thought America was about is that not what are forfathers founded this country on. Freedom and Love, not Hate and Slander. After seeing this website along with others I can only say one thing. Are you that desperate for 400 bucks, if so maybe you should not have made the purchase regaurdless if it was the best deal in the world, make more educated buying decisions, like when you can afford it. Are you just mad because you spent money you should not have because you got sold? also these guys are not a fraud I have ran into them and spoke with them, Fraud would be selling something that does not work, these speakers work almost going on two years. So please ease off of the hatred, leave that to the people who hate are country, not the ones who are part of it and take advantage of the freedom our country was founded on. Last but not least sellers do not stress web sites like these, although you will find lots of followers who post their tough guy reviews like the other reviews they read first, True leaders and the real men will be there own man and hook them up and take thier own opinion of the speakers. hook em up and rock em

hello, well I guess the guy before me got a better deal I payed 400 for mine. I was not stressed about the bad reviews, I grew up in New York City (Manhattan) so I knew these guys had done this before they were way to good at selling to be just average joe's. Hats off to the speaker cat's. Those guys made my day. I was having a pretty cruddy day, It seemed everything under the sun was going wrong for me today. Witch made me that much more skeptical with these guys. But he convinced me They did work and I would like them. I did not care if they were the best speakers as he had claimed (what salesman would not make such claims of his own products). I bought because I respected the entrepeneurism. I also had to hustle and sell to create my bussiness. I am A New Yorker and I love street deals, my theory is if I do get shafted 1 out of every 4 deals I'm still ahead on the cash I saved on the other 3. Some of you seem very offended and I am sorry for that, but take not risks you can not deal with. The speakers sound pretty good I gave them to my little brother, he hooked them up to a converted car amp hooked to his computer. I would buy them again. I am not hurting for monry and those guys made me laugh harder than the New York comedy club. they were hilarious, and on a day like today the laughter was priceless. Don't be angry if you bought them because of your greed, after all greed is one of the seven deadly sins, I'd say you got off cheap. And mike (the guy who sold me) Keep at it kid you're gonna go far in this world with that personality!

they are raspy in the mids, jim said so is a concert or live music, so the raspiness is a more accurate reproduction of real recordings.

Well i bought a pair of the 6.5's and I came home to read this only to feel stupid. Thank god for my friend jim I hooked them up and realized I had not been scammed. I thought i really got screwed until my friend jim told me he buys these speakers regularly from the guys in the white van. He is a DJ and has 4 6.5's plugged into a crown amp witch runs his system, he said he also has two of their subwoofers. I have been in his studio room before but never payed much attention to the speakers. Now I have a fisher reciever and when we hooked them up to it they did not sound very good. Jim said it was the quality of the amp pushing the speakers. He said a corvette would not run well on diesel either. Although I had not planned to I took his advice and went to the store and bought a nice Sony DTS reciever (whatever DTS means? lol). All I know is they sound great now, I was going to throw them away, I did not want to feel stupid when my friends saw I got "scammed". But now they can say whatever my friend jim has them and he is a DJ. He also acknowledged this website when I mentioned it and said I ought to post a review, because consumers were making false claims and accusations against the product. I can agree it is a weird approach these guys use but the sales tactic's do not determine the quality of the product. I must say I fed right into the negative impact of so many reviews on this site, I just wwonder was it a chain effect because when I went back and looked again I saw most people never even plugged them in. You should (not to a fisher though) Make sure you have a good enough amp the difference is night and day between the two. I am happy with my purchase now, but was very disgruntled when I read they cost 20 dollars to make on someone elses review, jim said that was impossible when the components alone cost over 75 dollars if ordered seperately, then there is assembelly the cost of the box the finishing the covers, packing and shipping. Please post educated reviews not just a reflection of the other 200 on this site. My friend jim said he had beers with a couple of these guys at four lakes pub and said the DJ there also has them hooked up in his booth going on two years now. Great speakers for the price, if you get the right price from the guys in the van.

I assume some speakers dont work, and its always a disappointment when you realize your speakers arent really a name brand. The $1500 list price is pretty lame too.

Well, I just bought some Digital Audio SL-1000 series speakers from a guy in a van. I did not think it was a scam when I bought the speakers, I thought they had been stolen. Though the price was ridiculous for what the speakers were composed of. So I checked out the materials that the speakers were made of, and they looked like they were legit. I figured for a hundred bucks, I could put my own speakers in the enclosure if they didnt work. Yes, I know, I am a gambler. Well, I plugged these speakers in, and wow, they really work. Actually, they work great! I think they sound much better than the pair of infinity floor speakers I own, and they were $200 each! Dont let the guys in the van rip you off, and make sure the speakers work somehow before you buy them, but for a hundred bucks, I reccomend getting a pair.

Sometimes, it's not easy to get cash quick and I understand that. I was a little thrown the first time I went out to sell these speakers at the aggressivness of my co-workers, but when i saw the reaction on some customers faces knowing that they had just gotten a deal, I was satisfied in knowing that they felt like they were on top of the world for getting such a great deal, because it is a great deal.

We dont tell you the whole sale price for our products because we are not selling them whole sale. We tell you the RETAIL PRICE for our speakers... what they are worth in RETAIL. Our speakers can't be found in stores because they are for commercial use.. you have to have a tax ID number just to be able to buy from our boss. We DO get the speakers for free to sale. Perhaps you have run into other company's doing the same thing as we are, only they are using the wrong tactics and are untruthful. But when pitched correctly, we are telling the honest truth. So, whats wrong with making a bit of money by giving someone a good deal. i see ppl on here saying they like the quality and think they got a good deal but want to know the real value of the speakers. If they love the quality of the speakers and would have had to pay a higher price to get the SAME SOUND, why the complaint? I guess I will never understand perhaps. Our products are for COMMERCIAL USE hence they are not sold in stores... non-commercial products like Bose, and Kenwood are sold in stores because they are for basic listening. So , Please remember, that we are trying to help you and help ourselves at the same time.

Disonest about the $1499 value.

Well it happened to me in a Grocery parking lot today.It was the SL-1100 Digital Audio speakers.I only had $135 bucks on me and I refused the money machine for fear of getting robbed. A gave them a watch that cost me $75 bucks 2 years ago at boater's world.So the actual cost was $210. I hated the watch anyway and I told them it was worth $100. I have some year 1989 JBL940s that I paid 900 for 11 years ago. To be honest these speakers sound just as good but they are not as effecient as the JBLs.

Great subwoofer ! Rocks a big room that I have (almost 30X 25 sq. feet).

The manual does not properly describe what all the little controls on the back are - and they all are pretty sophisticated !

Folks, I just bought a Tsunami series powered subwoofer from these guys since I had every other component already in place. The whole house now rocks ! I just watched "lost in space" - and I keep watching again and again ! I do not understand all these complains!!! May be I lucked out and their subwoofers are really rock ! I do not thing any other store will sell you this quality less than $300. SO I AM NOT COMPLAINING (unless of course the subwoofer dies in less than 2 years). So here I go - rent all those movies that I always wanted to watch and rock the house
