needed slight treble boost

WOW! When I bought these Cerwin Vega Ls-12''s I was really impressed. But I thought they needed a slight treble boost bt besides that they are great. They have awsome bass and tight highs. If you are on a budget these speakers will really make your home theatre system incredible! I have a Pioneer SX-950 reciever with 120 watts per channel and these speaker soud great!

Wow! Very nice sound. I just got them home an hour ago and they sound sweet! And the funny thing is they aren't even broken in! Can't wait to hear them then! Don't listen to the few morons who bought these and say they are bad. The few that do say they are enthuisiasts. Well if they were they would be out buying 2000 dollar speakers and not 400 dollar speakers. That leads me to believe that they think passing gas sounds better then the ls-12's. And that gas probally comes from there broke butts eating spam! I have a Kenwood vr-507 reciever rated 100 watts per channel, 5 channels. I have my dual yamahah 8's as my surrounds and a definitive center channel and it sounds magnificent! Especially on circle surround! If you want a good pair of speakers for home theater and music these are good to go! Great 5 year warranty for cv and an extra 4 years from best buy for 60 bucks! How can you go wrong? You just can't! % star rating all around!

Well ive got my Ls-12's hooked up to my kick ass onkyo receiver.....and im not sure if i should by a subwoofer for my collection....These F#ckers drop some heavy ass bass!!!!!
Just put saving private ryan at omaha biatch and feel the bass these 12's pull....

i got them for 300 as an open box item in best buy......

Danger...these speakers are not for cheezy recievers like HK and especially not for classical listeners!

Wow, these are the best speakers I have run across for clear sound volume for the dollar. If you want THX sound don't buy these but if you are looking for an outstanding digital movie experience or want to crank up a party these will get the job done. Have 100 watts running to each speaker and the sound is impressive.

THESE CERWIN VEGA SPEAKERS ARE A MUCH IMPROVED SERIES BECAUSE OF COOLED TWEETERS AND GREATER POWER HANDLING. I HAVE ONE COMPLAINT AND ITS ABOUT THE PEOPLES REVIEWS UNDER MINE. NO MORE SONY... RUN A HIGH CURRENT HIGH POWERED AMP ATLEAST 40 AMPS AND 300 WATTS.
THE MIDRANGE SEEMS SLIGHTLY CHEAPEND BUT OH WELL.

GREAT SPEAKERS FOR THE PRICE AND RICH BASS.

Great price, VERY loud, sparkeling highs.

OK midrange, front plate can come loose and then the whole cabinet needs replaced.

If you have $400 dollars, but these speakers! You have to replace the fuses from 2 1/2 amps to about 7 to get good power handling, the origional fuses burn out quickly. When you hit them with about 200 watts r.m.s. these puppies really shine. They will handle anything you throw at them, and play it well too, which I sometimes find lacking in other speakers. Also, I recomend replacing the packing in the midrange enclosure with poly-fill to reduce the echo.

Bass and Pure volume

I've had these speakers for about 4 months now and they seem to sound decent. They have decent mid and high end that doesn't get drowned out by the enormous ammount of bass these speakers pump out. I'll say again that the mid and tweeter aren't the best but, thats not why me, or most of the people who have them, bought these. It's purely a bass thang', and at the volume I listen to music you can't tell whether the mids and highs sound good or clear...

If you are into music, as my mom calls it, "Screaming Devil Music" or rap and Hip Hop and you have $400 to fork over then these are the speakers for you. >:o)

PS. I've heard the DCM KX 12's and the CV's have much better bass response.

These speakers are amazing, I am quite a fan of the bass, and I have some large bass in these speakers. I do agree that changing the fuse from 2.5 amp to about 5 or 7 would be a little better. Mids and highs are pretty sweet too, but i live for the bass.

I just hope you're living in the country with these, or else you're going to jail.

These speakers absolutely rock!! They are just the ticket for the older hard rock and heavy metal that I listen to.
If you have a decent amp these suckers will blow your head clean off! Just like the ads say...the louder you play them the better they sound. They aren't an audiophile speaker but they are pretty clean. If you buy these, do yourself a favor and buy a better amp, you won't be disappointed!
