The OVTR 3's are the sweetest pair of speakers around. With looks that would please anyone and sound that is breathtaking, the Overture's are worth the hefty price tag. Mid ranges and bass are excellent and stereo imaging are magnificent. The sound is lifelike and spacious, nothing short of perfect for both music and movies...Save your money up and these speakers will reward you tremendously. |

Used a fake email to allow 2nd post to share a usefull tip. The pegs on the grills for these speakers are a BAD design. Instead of using solid pegs, infinity created 2 "fingers" with a gap in between. These fingers are real thin and will break easily. Plus the sub volume control is behind the grills. Chances are you might want to adjust the sub periodically. This will increase the chance of a peg breaking. Solution: I took a tube of black automotive silicone and squirted some in the gaps between the fingers. Make sure to contour the silicone to the shape of the peg and wipe off any extra globs so the pegs will fit in their holes. Allow to dry for 12 hrs before you re-attach them on the speakers. I believe silicone is the ideal application - it still allows the pegs to flex but not to their breaking point. And epoxy or similar glues dry hard. This will not work. |

My husband is the Audio Enthusiast in the family. He paid $1600 for a pair at Circuit City. I didn't believe this was a great deal until reading these reviews. I'm not really into his home theater, but these speakers are incredible. I'm just waiting for all of the windows in the house to be shattered. I agree with Robert I. re: the pegs. The pegs on one speaker were broken in the first week. |

I have auditioned these speakers awhile back and still can't seem to forget about them. The thing that impresses me most about these speakers is the midrange - very clean and smooth. The bass is pretty good too while the high rolls off very slightly at the extreme. The roll off of the high is good for me because I tend to collect a lot of bright recording CDs. |

I auditioned these speakers last week while looking for something to complement my new receiver (HK AVR55). These are easily the best speakers available at Circuit City. Of course, that's not really meant as a compliment. For the same money ($1249 each at CC) you could get a pair of Hales Revelation 3's which sound light-years better in my opinion. 3.5 stars for sound, 2.5 for value. |

Infinity OVTR3, generally speaking, is good speaker. However, it is too sensitive to its position. The floor type, angle to the listeners, distance to wall are all affecting its musical image very much. The most serious problem of Infinity OVTR series is that the high, mid-range and bass sound are somewhat not in harmony. Sometimes, it becomes ear annoying. |

just had a nice long listen to the overture 2, overture 3, and energy c-8, c-6 speakers. i don't want to rain on everyones parade but these speakers are way way way way way overpriced. $2400 a pair for the overture 3s. I think you can find them for about $1500 mail order though. ok so how did they sound? ok. that's it. imaged pretty well the bass felt like it was really lacking. maybe i was expecting to much from them but I did a side by side comparison of the 3s, 2s, c-8s, c-6s, and the 2s were immidiatly taken off my list of possible speakers. the 3s were again way over priced when compared with either of the energy speakers. I guess i just like energy, while a tad bright i found them be a great much better sounding than overtures and much greater deal. the energys sounded like $2000+ speakers were only $1200 a pair for the c-8s and $800 a pair for the c-6s. all i can say is if your thinking of the infinitys, give the energys a listen i think you will be pleasently surprised! 3 stars for sound and 1 star for value. |
