I bought a pair of 2000.6's from circuit city along with a CC2 and a pair of 2000.2. I am also using a cerwin vega HT12 pwrd. sub woofer. Pairing these with a Yamaha RXV-2092 receiver this is what I felt. I felt these speakers to be slightly restrained on louder passsages of action flicks. Also the front to back pans seemed to break off in the center of the room. On music I found the sound stage to be weak on Alternative/Rock music but pretty good for softer music. The bass definitely has to be augmented by a sub-woofer. The CC2 lacked airniness in the treble that made dialogs dull sounding. I did however like the 2000.2 as rear speakers. |

I originally had the 2000.3 model for the front speakers in my system. I just recently traded up to the 2000.6 model. What a difference! I was blown away. Especially at the $560.00 a pair that I paid. I am surprised at the several low ratings given this speaker on this page. At the MSRP of $780.00 a pair they are probably overpriced, and deserve a lower rating. And yes, I have heard the B & W models and of course they sound better, they cost twice as much! The thing that amazed me the most was I finally realized the potential of my reciever(Denon AVR 2600). I had no idea it was so powerful! The first time I cranked it up to halfway(12 o'clock) it was too loud to handle for any more than a few minutes, yet clear as a bell. No distortion whatsoever. Again I highly recommend the Infinity Reference 2000.6, can't beat it for $560.00 a pair. Better hurry though, they are being discontinued and there are very few left in the stores. The rest of my setup is Infinity Reference 2000.1 for the surround, Infinity CC2 for the center, and Velodyne VA907 for the sub. Great combo if you're not interested in spending 5 or 10 thousand dollars for a system. |

Please, for the sake of time and effort, don't waste it on the tripto Circuit City just to hear these speakers. You've already noticed |

I brought the 2000.6 speakers from Crutchfield. The price was great, but the speakers preformance was not up to my expectations. The bass is weak. The power handling capablities are impressive but the tonality and coloration is very limited. These speakers need augumentation from a subwoofer to be at best GOOD speakers. |

These speakers make a great starting point for a home theater. I currently have 2000.6, CC-3, and 2000.3. Now that I have "graduated" from Circut City and got out and listen to more speakers I have come to realize that these speakers aren't nearly as good as I thought they were. (Planning to buy Energy's Connoisseur Series.) They are probably one of the best sounding speakers in their price range but they are lacking two major characteristics. One is imaging. There is like zero imaging from these speakers. All of the sound really seems to just blend together and the sound stage is not very clear. Second is tone. These speakers can really sound "covered" in a lot of musical passages. Bottom line, as strictly home theater speakers they are fantastic, but if your are looking for musical speakers or a system that does both home theater and music, look elsewhere. |

I must admit that these speakers aren't an all around best sound speaker. The bass is really almost non existent. But as for the high-end I must also admit that you can't beat'em. You can close your eyes and see the music as if it was right there. But you must accept that your going to need a sub woofer to get realistic levels of bass to match the high-end. I got them for $300 at crutchfield open box so then again I can't complain! |

I must say, I do love these speakers! They are perfect for my home theater and casual music interests. I don't have any gripes about their sounds accept for the lack of deep bass from a set of speakers this caliber. I had the infinity BU-2 subwoofer and it was a perfect compliment to these speakers, but once I took it back (because it was just tooooooo much bass for my apartment) I couldn't help but miss the void in my system. Again, the sound is excellent and never muddy! More bass would have given them a five star however... |

At first 2000.6 sounded really good- detail and richness. But after listening to Energy, I was very impressed by its soundstage, deatils and richness. And how "deficient" my infinity is for its price. If I can sell mine, I 'll get a REAL speaker like the ENERGY. and never shop for a speaker at Circuit City. |

I currenly own a pair of Inifinity 2000.6 tower speakers and in my opinion, they put up just as solid of an image as many speakers in there price range. Sure they lack the bottom octave, as do most speaker without a built in power sub, but; they sound great for a five hundred dollar or less speaker. Many of the speakers that do seem to have a little bass output in the bottom octaves is more of a midbass output fooling you in thinking that you are actually getting more for your money. If you are looking for a solid foundation to a stero or a home speaker set up, you could do a lot worse than the Infinity ref 2000.6 |

I recently upgraded my system with a pair of 2000.6's and I must say, I'mbeen very impressed. My configuration, which already included the bass power of two subs (Velodyne and Infinity), needed a pair of front speakers that could |
