Strength:

Good sound compared to other speakers in this price range

Weakness:

non-hardwood cabinets, bad storyline from seller

Funny as fack! I got lied to but survived with okay sound!!!!!! October 27 I got scammed, smelled fishy but what the hell, if they sound bad or do not work I call the RCMP with the cell number and plate of the van...but they sound okay...I mean they are not an 800 dollar speaker, but for 350, they sound awesome...I use them in the corners of my home theater (+10,000) Klipsch/Denon/Toshiba. They have added bass response to my front end and if nothing else I will resell them to a friend for what I paid or a little less. You people have not really been scammed, just deluded into the wrong storyline...these are not stolen, damaged, or fake, they are simply made by a mass produce company who happened to get the specs right...if everyone in this forum had bad things to say I may agree, but there are too many people listed who like them for the money to think these speakers suck entirely, they are a 400 dollar speaker, end of story, so i you paid that amount, you don't win but you also do not lose...Smile and enjoy the sound they give you for your buck!!!!!!!!!

Strength:

i have a pair of MTS speakers hooked up from my soundblaster live 5.1 audio card, powered by a Denon 4802 reciever, connected with monster cable. The sound is clear and rich, and delivers a very natural sound. They also can handle a substantial load; my Denon is capable of 125 Watts per channel, and these MTS can handle it well. I don't know if the makers of these speaker just got very lucky in building them, but they sound very good. Cheers!

Weakness:

As far as the speakers are concerned, none.

I give them two thumbs up.

Strength:

just about everything...

Weakness:

my stereo is kinda weak to power the damn things...

yeah, i already reviewed these bad bears a few months ago, just thought i'd give all you folks an update. well, my dpa 2.8 'shademasters' still sound great. they are clear, loud, and have a minimal amount of hissing at loud volumes. i know they'd perform if i could score a bigger stereo as well. they look great in our entertainment center (mine are black) and everyone that comes by is impressed- "nicest speakers on campus", that kind of stuff. look, most of the people who complain about these speakers are only salty because they were 'taken for a ride.' here's a tip: plug the damn things in and listen to them before you moan and gripe about how you're going to beat down the van guys. look, if you're such an audiophile, why did you buy no-name speakers out of the back of someone's van? anyway, if you can get them reasonably cheap, you will be happy with these things. we've got a DVD hooked to them, they sound great as well. it's been several months and i feel i got a fair deal- make that a great deal.

Strength:

Good sales

Weakness:

Greed

If you've just bought this I know how you feel.Someone could walk up to me and piss on my leg right now and I wouldn't bat an eyelid. They don't sound terrible but they're not worth the feeling of being ripped off.

You should definetely check the posting on this site for dynalab SDA 2.8 speakers.Hard to tell if they're the same thing rebadged or a different speaker but the sales tactics are the same.It seems that the scam with these was operating last year.Quite a few people claim to have received a refund,in the UK,US and Australia. But the story was slightly different and the sellers were issuing receipts.

Still it's similar enough to assume it's the same company so I have written to people to get an address for these scamsters. It's possible that they count on their victims being too embarassed to take it any further and will refund the small number who follow it up in order to keep things quite.I will post more if I have any luck, but my advice is to follow it up with trading standards etc.I'm sure they will have heard of it and if not will want to.You'll probably feel better doing that than trying to pass them on to some other gullible fool or sitting fantasising about what you will do when you catch the white van man and his weaselly sidekick.

I am going to keep a bat in my car from now on and if I find those f*ckers, or if someone else offeres me some sh*t...they will feel the wrath of my gullible 220 pound frame! (and my bat)

Strength:

They look nice, and don't sound too bad.

Weakness:

They are probably worth less than $50.00

I feel so stupid. I was approached at a Tim Hortons in Ottawa and it just sounded like such a great deal. I guess I'll blame this on it being early and the fact that it was before I had my morning coffee. If I ever see those two, there will be a few less of those speakers on the market, and one less suburban on the road.
