Strength:
deep bass, low, tight high power handling (Ive ran 600W into em and they never flinched) excellent home theater fronts!!
Weakness:
highs are there but midrange tones overwhelm them and make them harse with certain music, not a very good all around speaker more of a definite purpose speaker last downfall is they require good power to run 100W min of clean amplification may be why so many people rate as poor sounding speaker, due to lack of power kinda like running a mark levenson speaker with a sony receiver :) Well Unlike most I didnt buy these off people in a parking lot but buying from ebay isnt really much different just dont have the big show to witness I bought these speakers to actually see what they are about, once I received them I took them apart to find that they arent badly built, via no means they arent worth 1300.00 but ive seen similiar for about 600.00 list of 900.00 cabinets are 3/4 high density particle board veneer work is medium to high quality, crossovers actually have iron core coils (which is usually in high end only) due to price but they work way better, tweeters are well built but lack in control of midrange these really should have been setup as a 3 way woofers are a medium build but very clean over all these produce deep tight bass and crisp highs until the midrange kicks in and ruins the sound great home theater front channels speakers, aslo very good for modern rock, rap, country classical NOT RECOMMENDED as well as classic rock they destroy Led Zeplin tunes at higher volumes Similar Products Used: JBL/Cerwin Vega |

They are actually good, there will be people who gripe about them sucking hard, but they are just mad they were dumb enough to fall for this like all of us. If you don't believe me go into a electronics store and compare.
Weakness:
The high sounds are a bit on the weak side but tissues I only paid 200 for them! The only other thing is I could have gotten them for 150, oh well they ARE worth the 200. Okay so Yeah if you are reading this I bet you feel pretty freaking stupid right now right? You thought that you could take advantage of some dishonest people trying to push some extra speakers they had? Well don't worry my friend join the club. Actually its not all that bad, sure if you paid more than 300 you got rocked but these are decent speakers. Like I was actually impressed buy the sound, AND if you got a number it is real, like there is actually someone who answers your questions so don't go wetting yourself over this. I was right outside Best Buy when I bought these, man these cats are good! They had a great story, (which you will hear over and over again on all these reviews) paperwork, good packaging, and even a logo sticker on the back of the van. I was totally looking for any signs of a scam, but everything seemed fine, just looked like a couple of guys who scored some extra speakers, oh well. I went into Best Buy right after plugging these in and they give the same sound as most of the speakers you find for 300-400 there. The things can bump, you its just the fact that you got taken advantage of that makes them seem worse. So just relax, plug them in and if you paid 300+ learn from your mistake. Shame on us anyway for trying to buy stolen goods. Similar Products Used: I like to play guitar. |

None They really sound bad. I thought my cheap weak cheese Kenwood speakers sounded really really bad (that’s why I was so excited to get these supposedly "High End" speakers.... But after plugging in the MTS Millennium 2208s I have just gained a new appreciation for my cheap Kenwoods (I guess this newly gained appreciation for cheap speakers that I didn’t pay WAY too much for is a strength.
Weakness:
Hmmm... Well for starters I think there a little overpriced. The return policy isn't very good unless I can track down that white van again. The speakers distort and sound very bad even at low volume levels. Music is Very Very distorted and unbearable to listen to when you turn it up to normal listening levels. I AM SUCH SUCKER!!!... I was all excited to get home and look up the MTS web site and find out all about my new "Sweet" "High-End" speakers that I had just bought and well here I am. It's my fault though for being evil and thinking I was scamming someone myself. The speakers truly do suck. When you look closely at the workmanship and then listen to them WOW there is no way they could cost more than $10 bucks each to produce…I paid $300 for my pair. Similar Products Used: None |

Ok - same basic story. But ... here's the question - I got the Millenium Model 2008. My tower seems to be a bit taller and more powerful. Don't know squat about audio, but would be interested in knowing if anybody knows the difference between the 2012 and the 2008 and has an opinion about what I got. Yes - I know I'm a sucker, but I still think I may have something in return for the $100. Haven't hooked it up yet. |

sounds good at low levels
Weakness:
sound fuzzy at l;oud levels I was approached the same as many people were. There were two guys in a van all excited about the fact that they were given to many speakers for an order. So, before they got back to work they wanted to sell them and make money on it. Because they were so excited, they got me excited and made me feel like i would be stupid to pass this deal up. So the suckered me into it and got $500 bucks. They also told me i owed them a beer for the great deal and gave me their phone #. I did take their licence plate # but i lost it. The speakers however aren't that bad. Not woth 500 though. Similar Products Used: none |

Little high-end Scammed like the rest of us. Thought I was smart. Yeah, right. Overheard this guy offering an outrageous deal for speakers to the manager of Jack. He was too smart to bite but not me. I needed speakers for my new computer. Mp3''s through an amp. Figured it was a scam and have resisted two times before in my life. But these guys had it down pat. Showed me these monster speakers and they had a brochure with a list price of 1500 a piece. I told them I wanted my electronics savvy friend to check them out and they didn''t even flinch. They said they were building a IMAX theatre and they were sent to many THX speakers and wanted to unload them before they went back to the wharehouse. So I''m a crook as well as a fool. My friend brought his ohmeter, read the specs, tested the speakers and said they were a great deal. I can''t look at him without thinking he should have protected me from myself. Oh well. They wanted 1000 for the pair but I held out for 300. Searching for Digital Pro Audio on the net sent me to the White Van Scam page. A year later and the speakers are still booming in my living room. With a second set of bookshelf speakers providing the highs, the speakers are not bad for 300. I just hate to be taken. Similar Products Used: Swamp Land in Florida |

I have speakers now.
Weakness:
I don''t have a stereo. Well. I was scammed. I admit it. These two guys were really engaging guys. I mean, inside, I knew what was happeneing. But, somehow, I found myself stuffing a wad of cash into one of their hands while the other one was putting the things in my car. I mean, I don''t even own a stereo, people. And I remember that I once even considered myself intelligent. Whatever. I guess I''ll go buy a sound system. |

Didn''t buy from the white van
Weakness:
Didn''t have money to buy from the white van (and in hindsight, a good thing) Look, people, let''''s get something straight: 1.) the guys (and/or gals) in the white van told you straight up (in the sales pitch) that, basically, they stole the speakers from their boss (which isn''''t true, but that''''s not the point of this object lesson). 2.) the list price (which you probably didn''''t believe anyway, but that''''s also not the point) is usually over $1,000. 3.) by buying the equipment, whatever the circumstances, sales pressure, etc. you were (if they had been telling the truth) in receivership of stolen property (which you already knew because they had told you so) valued at over $1,000 and -- 4.) if all the above were true, you''''d be guilty of a felony. so, the whole point of the lesson, no matter what it cost you, is that you shouldn''''t be looking for consumer electronics out of the back of a van. any questions? so whatever you paid for these pieces of excrement, be glad they weren''''t the real thing. instead of being out $300-400 (i hope you didn''''t pay more), you could have been looking at a prison term. so count it as a (relatively) cheap lesson. go to a retailer: where the warranties are good, they give receipts & you don''''t have to worry about going to jail!
