I''m EXTREMELY impressed with the quality of these speakers. Amazing bass, but the tweeters could be a bit better. Some tips for people saying that these speakers suck: get a proper amp and some good speaker wire, and hey, an equlizer would help you out lots. (and hook red to red, black to black ...heheheh)
Weakness:
The tweeter...but you get amazing sound out of these VERY stylish speakers. I felt even better cuz i removed the DPA stinkers without any effort (came cleanly off)... Well, once again, here''s another great sucker story. I was driving with a buddy of mine, and we of course, got pulled over. I knew about the white van scan, but it was blue this time... :-P so anyhoo, the guy did a great schpeal on these speakers supposidly manufactured by Bose (which make the best speakers in the whole world). Great salespeople. One guy was a really fat greasy white guy with the fake oakley sunglasses, and his fruity skinny sidekick with blonde hair was the main salesperson (i think that he wears the pants in that relationship). So yeah, they wanted 800 for a pair of speakers (black DPA 2.8''s), and i told him that i only wanted to spare 400 for speakers. He talked it over with his buddy in the van, and he was really adamant about not going below 800. But he took the offer, followed me to my house, got his money, and in the middle of hooking up the speakers, took off with his buddy. The duo did the same as the brochure for this scandle (cant remember the web site where i read it), but i must say im impressed with their tactics. They probably work for international stereo. Feel free to drop me an email at elemenno@hotmail.com , I really hope to see these guys, or similiar people trying to sell these speakers, cuz you can only imagine what i want to do to em. My determination
Weakness:
My lack of focus even for a short time I can''t beleive i bought these two monster speakers even with my reservations that this was a scam. I took the guys DL # and plate number from the van so I hope to be able to locate this guy again and get my money''s worth either the $300 in cash or $300 of flesh. I only have one of the speakers hooked up to a crappy system right now because I wanted to test and make sure that the box wasn''t empty. I''ll update this site if or when I locate the "artist" and let everyone know what to expect. Similar Products Used: Never been scammed before |

Good base and smooth sound on a decent transmitter.
Weakness:
ok midrange. over paid. Of course I felt like I was getting at least for a little while until I got onto the internet and looked up the "$1200" price. I was litterally sick to think that they had me and that I should be a smart enough person to see the signs, not to mention the feeling of complete sheepishness that resulted from considering what my girlfriend would think of this. But really when anyone gets you on the spot, you don''t think about all the cons and angles untill later. For all of you who overpaid or just plain out paid, don''t feel to bad as this is not to expensive of an eye opener to how the world really operates and what you should look out for. If you happen to see these guys again try to write them a check, then cancel it as soon as the leave. Also you might think about taking down their license plate number and trying to pump any other information out of them such as names, phone nummber, wherehouse, or even the question of "how did you get into the scamming business." The bass is pretty good.
Weakness:
high and mid ranges could use some work Yes I did get tricked to buy these speakers. I probably would not have bought them if they just approached me and said ''hey i got some speakers here for sale'' but their sales approach was damn good I must say. Anyways I think the sound these speakers have is not bad at all. For what I paid I certainly feel I got a fair deal, not ripped off. I think you people out there saying ''oh oh i got scammed'' should maybe try USING your speakers...they really aren''t that bad, its just the principle of how they were sold to you. If you can get over that you will probably enjoy your speakers |

My friend just bought a pair of digital pro audio 2.8 speakers for 200$. We then looked on the internet to see the actual price and found them on its web site for 1,199. My question is, is this web site fake, to go along with the scam, or is the site reall but the scam people are selling dump speakers claiming they are worth the 1000? I would appreciate any info that can help. thanks. |

We have not even plugged them in yet but they are pretty. PRICELESS!!!! My husband called me at work and said "Babe, how much money do we have?" Of course I asked why. He said these two guys in a white van were driving behind him and started honking the horn at him. They pulled up beside him and asked if he wanted to buy some speakers. We had been looking at surround sound speakers so of course he was interested! He got the whole speal about them being bonded and picking up in Charlotte and driving to Durham to deliver. Too many loaded, selling the rest before they went back to meet up with their boss. He saw the invoice and the warranty. So, before he bought them I told him he better make sure they were real because if they were not I was going to take them back to the company in Charlotte and let them know what these two guys were going on the side and get my money back! My husband was so excited that he did not get any information on them and came home and braged to the neighbor! Then he gets on the net to see what he got. He found nothing so I got on and found this site. I laughed. The stories are hysterical!! These people get around! I read all the stories. I hope the work, but most of all I have a great story to tell everyone and hopefully he will know better next time. I hope the work because he is not getting any more. I am thinking of getting ahold of the local newstation to atleast let people know they are out there. He just could not beleive that they scammed him, the man. All of you men should listen to your men more often!! |
