Strength:

lots of BASS Cheap

Weakness:

none at all

These are the best speakers to buy if you dont want to spend a lot of money. The performance is great for how cheap they are. Just make sure you have a receiver that can push these speakers.

Strength:

Good bass balanced well with midrange and treble, don't require obscene abounts of amplifier power to make them sound good. Unbeatable price and value, good 5 year defect waranty from manufacturer.

Weakness:

Have not really found any yet, for the price i paid they sound great. Although, if you have an amplifier that is more than 100 watts I would reccommend that you go with the 9915 because of their complete 20hz-20khz coverage and bigger bass driver.

First of all, for the price there is nothing that even comes close to the value and quality of KLH. Granted, they are not the best speaker makers in the world, but that is not their intent. They are desiged to sound good and be affordable. If you are a true audiophile and are looking for the best speakers money can buy, it only makes sense to go with a higher quality speaker manufacturer, like B&W or Klipsch, but if you are like me and don'w feel like emptying your wallet for one pair of speakers, then these speakers are definately for you. So far I have found nothing I don't like about them- no problems at all- so to anyone thinking about buying them, I would say that they are definately a good buy.

Strength:

Best bang for the buck! Bass sounds really good and mids and highs are great.

Weakness:

Haven't found any yet.

I bought them for $100 a pair at Best Buy. I compared them to other speakers in their sound room, listening to the same receiver and the same music. The bass from the KLH's sounded almost as good as similar Cerwin Vega speakers which cost three times as much. The mids and highs from the KLH might have even been better. My receiver is a JVC RX-888VBK and they sound awesome at normal to loud volumes, but some distortion is noticable when they are really cranked up (what do you expect for $100?). You can't beat them for the price, and unless you're a real audiophile, you will be happy very with them. Now I will probably buy some KLH surround speakers to go with them.

A little distortion at high volumes with very very low bass.

Strength:

Price! :) nice looking case

Weakness:

They say KLH, your friends will rag you, until they listen.
Bass is a little slow. Magnet seems to lose control @ high volumes.

These Speakers definately give you the sound for your money, if your not a hard-core audiophile, these definately need consideration.

I saw these speakers @ bestbuy for $80 for the pair and thought, i can't go wrong. I originally got the old model KLH w/ the hard woofer, the wire clip broke, im clumsy, so i returned it for new ones, which were a newer design of the same model. The older ones, woofer would click on loud bass, but thats not a concern anymore, the new ones kick the pance of the older model.

I sometimes will get distortion when i crank them, but im 98% sure that thats an amplifier issue. (SONY STR-DE135 email me any leads) The KLH boast they go 28HZ - 20khz, however i used a tone generater to test this and i would say they actually go 25Hz to 18khz, The tweeters just did nothing at higher frequencies. The bass response could be a bit quicker, but really its prett good, im probably just picky:)

Overall these speakers kick ass, espechially for the price. I would rank them the same quality as the equivelnt models in Cerwin Vega.

Strength:

Really cheap, adequate bass when bass level is turned up on amp. Good for indiscriminating, cheap college student who listens to rock and rap.

Weakness:

Listening to classical music reveals the shoddiness of this speaker. Muddy bass, trashy highs ruin music.

If you are really cheap and need something to play loud, you will be fine with these speakers. I recommend buying a Best Buy warranty in that case so you can get them replaced easily when/if you blow them out. If you are a discriminating listener, shell out some more cash.

Cheap BIC RTR123 speakers from Ubid. These speakers are quite similiar in design to the KLH, are cheaper yet, but actually sound a little better.

Strength:

Sturdy Consturction, sensitive

Weakness:

Muddy high, muddy mid, distorted bass

I bought these when I was in college. After I got my first job, I bought a pair of Paradigm Studio 80's. Now the KLH's make very nice end tables.

Save up and buy higher end speakers. Its worth the money.

Ok, I bought a 220 watt JVC off eBay (110 watts/ channel) and wasnt planning on keeping the JVC, then i saw the best buy flyer in the sunday paper, and these KLH were $80 for the 2 of them. i went that day to pick them up. some people complain about the cabinate being crappy, i NEVER had ANY trouble with them. they are industiable (cabinate AND speakers) I have a power meter that goes up to 100 watts and when i get my JVC craking, the speakers can take it. some people say these are not 250 watt speakers, its not that the speakers cant keep up with the reciver ITS THE RECIVER CANT KEEP UP WITH THE SPEAKERS. even my 220 watt JVC cant keep up with these at very high volume its a JVC RX-318 made in 1994, and they dont make recivers like they used to, i love that JVC(love this thing and JVC is the best, just got a 500 watt Dolby DTS JVC) i use 12 gauge CRANKIN' CABLES ( they have NO resintence, sounds GREAT) and these are awsome. my dad is a DJ, he has a 3500 watt system(1500watt normal music) system (2000 watts of bass) and he was very impressed with these. you have to get these, they are awsome. they have a nice dustcover that can be taken off, these are really really great speakers.

Strength:

Unbelievable sound for the price. Loud bass. Loud speakers. Simple, sleek design.

Weakness:

woofers plastic rim vibrates and makes noise sometimes with certain low frequencies.

Well, my dad works at best buy so he got me adiscount, i really was tired of my tiny aiwa mini-stereo. I wanted BIG speakers. So I sold my crappy bass guitar for 100$, and with that was able to get the speakers and the service plan. Can't beat that!. These would be good speakers for any kids who don't have much money, but want hear their mucis the way it was meant to be heard. "KLH makes music you feel"

Everything, Awsome Bass, and nice sounding highs, Sturdy Box, Nice Look

Weakness:

Nothing

Just bought this speakers to day, and i have two words for them, BAD ħ§. For the money i paid, I never though i would get such great sound, with shaking bass. If you are looking for some nice speakers and have a low budget, go for these babies. I already got grounded for shaking everything in the house, Seriously, I made the cabnits rattle down the hall.

When i first got home, i hooked them up to my Sony reciever, (STR-DE 445), and put metallica S&M disc 2 in, selected song number 5, and OMG, the bass is so wonderful, no need for a sub, YET!!! And the best part is, is i got the warrenty for 4 years, so if i blow them out, take em' back and get new ones!!!!! Oh hell yeah!! Go bye them, for the price, you cant beat them
