I love these speakers! I purchased them a month ago and have been listening to them almost non-stop. I use them about 50/50 Home Theater/Stereo and they excel in both areas. Before I purchased these speakers I had concluded that a subwoofer was an absolute necessity for a good home theater set up. Now I think a sub would be useless. You would have to spend lots of $$$ to get any improvement over what the KLF 20's provide. These speakers shake the floors and walls and punch you with deep, sharp bass. The horns produce exceptionally distinct mids and highs- I can hear sounds in my music that I never knew were there. I was originally driving these with a high current NAD stereo amp. The sound was very good. Imaging is very good if you are in the sweet spot, but falls off some as you move off-center. I just purchased a Yamaha RX-V 2092 and have been using that to drive them. I was initially worried that a receiver wouldn't be able to source enough current for the tight base, but my worries were quickly alleviated. I am not sure if the performance can be attributed to the speaker or the receiver for both, but this combination is fantastic. The cabinet is very classy and feels solid. The only complaint I have is that the magnetic sheilding is not great. 2 feet is about as close as I can get the speakers to my TV (36 inch tube) without causing picture distortion. For me this is not a problem, but if you have a small room it is something to consider. I got the light oak finish for $1299 (floor models) and feel that this is one of the best investments I have ever made. |

I spent over an hour comparing the legend 10 and 20 at Nobody beats The Wiz, a chain store in NJ. My budget allowed for a 10, about 8-900 dollars, I wanted to compare the two way design of the 10 with the 3 way design of the 20. Basically to hear what $300 more would get me. The difference was huge. The 10's sounded like the 20's little brother struggling to keep up and not getting the job done. The 20's sounded fantastic. They give the feeling of being at a live show. The bass difference was enormous. the floor of the listening room was rumbling as the Intro to the Cure's Pictures of You played. Everything out of the 20's was very musical and clear. Stevie Nick's Landslide never sounded better. Her voice came across the best I had ever heard. Guns and Roses and Pearl Jam sounded excellent but the clincher was Meatloaf Bat outta Hell. This was a musical experience, as close as I have heard to a concert with the performers a few feet away. Nobody Beats the Wiz wanted 1500 for a pair of 20's, full retail, (they must get good crack in that store) these can be had for around 1000 mail order. All I have to do is convince my wife. They are quite large as well |

I bought a pair of mahogony-finished KLF-20's 'sight unheard' through mail order (Kief's Audio/Video), since there are no good speaker shops where I am right now. I figured that unanimous '5-speaker' reviews were leading me in the right direction (thanks!). It's driven by a 75W Heathkit AR-15 receiver which I recently repaired and upgraded (replaced all resistors with low-noise metal film, tantalum capacitors in place of small electrolytics, etc). I usually listen to music through a CD (NAD 514), though a hi-fi VCR is hooked up as well for movies. The receiver/CD combination has a very clear, warm, and smooth sound which complements these speakers. The speakers themselves are very "transparent" in that EVERYTHING your receiver puts out is faithfully reproduced. It's nice to have a stereo with a very wide frequency response for these speakers. |

As an audio/video consultant; I have had the chance to work with and review several different types of speakers. I refer to the KLF20's as my "island speakers" because if I were going to an island and could only take one pair of speakers with me, these would be the ones. There is NO other speaker like this in this price range. Period. |

My god these speakers rock! I fell in love with them but not the price. I did my home work and purchased for $1050 delivered to my door (from www.netmarket.com - see them for details). I have used them from audio and home theater. |

I purchased a pair of Klipsch KLF-20s about 3 weeks ago in the Medium Oak finish after a lengthy audition at my local dealer. I was impressed by the openess and clarity. |

Just got the KLF 20's & they sound just great, that is after putting them back together. It seems that the mid horn driver was not attached to the horn, I had to remove it & screw it in and attach one of the wires not attached but first I had to remove the bottom woofer to get to the orange washer that was in the bottom of the cabinet. Also the grill came with 2 broken holders which they are sending me a new one. Spoke with Klipsch & they said it must have been undone in shipping otherwise it would have not passed inspection & testing (funny I also have 3.1's & they were inspected & tested by the same people). I guess it must have unscrewed by itself, Yah right, they probably did not at the factory. Well my review is 5 stars for sound & 0 stars for quality control |

Just got the KLF20, had the KB3.1 mains, cc1 center & KB1.1 rear. Love the 20's & put the 3.1 in rear & got the cf7 center. The system rocks, using a B & K AVR202 (no noise, hum or any other problems) had a Denon 5600 & can hear sounds now that I never heard on the 5600 that I hear on the 202. The 20's are fantastic, compared to the 10's & no comparison. They are clear & vibrant. |

As a long time Klipsch fan, my comments about the KLF-20 are necessarily relative to others in the Klipsch line. I previously owned the Klipsch Forte II speakers, though over the years I have spent alot of time with most of the Klipsch offerings. These are the best ever. Klipsch's stated goal for the KLF 20's was to achieve the sound quality of the Forte's while improving imaging. That is exactly what they did (and then some). Excellent image. Excellent balance and clarity. Excellent bass. Klipsch have always been known as a good rock music speaker, but if you like acoustic music, as I do, you will love these speakers. |
