Strength:
Great price, look great and sound excellent for the price
Weakness:
Other peoples complaints!!! I know next to nothing about speaker technology and what everyone here has said but I know when I hear what I like, and I like these! There fine, whats everyone complaining about? I think everyone has high expectations. |

Nice looking, great bass, after time an even better treble, nice mid range, bi-wire, cheap!
Weakness:
Hmm, can't think of any. Well, many people don't like these speakers. I really don't know why. |

Strength:
powerfull bass, clear midrange, looks, price, likes many amps...
Weakness:
too much bass without spikes, I listened to many speakers in this priceclass and for me these Mission's were the best because when you listen too them at a low volume then they are friendly to listen too. But when you listen to them at a high volume the fun starts, the great bass is just great to listen to! I think this speaker is a great value for the money! Strength:
This speaker has a fast, punchy sound. The new Mission series is supposed to have a club influence, and I can hear it in this speaker. It certainly has a greater bass response than the old series, yet manages to retain that clear, English sound. The midbass is strong, and reaches down quite a bit. The design is interesting, though in the end I must say that I find the driver (white) a bit ugly) The cabinet is fairly large for a bookshelf, in fact I would be challanged to find a bookshelf in my house which could fit these little monsters. And these do go very loud. They are not my primary speakers, but go lounder than my other pair (Dynaudio Audience 50's), but bite the dust when it comes to everything else....which it should, consider the price. Paid 600 AUD for these, btw. At the moment, pairing it with a Marantz PM-17 (i love this amp, perhaps too good for the Missions at this level), Aaron sub (double 10 inchers, fast and furious sound, better than AE at similar price). In conclusion, this is a very, very good budget speaker which can be adapted to home cinema use, musical use, and excels in musicality for price value, especially when listening to electronic or other techno genre music. So for the price, and only in this price bracket, it receives a 4 star rating.
Weakness:
It's a good speaker for the price, but could we ask for bi-wireability? And another colour for the cone? Excellent price to performance ratio Similar Products Used: all sorts of stuff |

Strength:
Soft, smooth, harsh-free.
Weakness:
Non realistic treble, need a sub. Classic British sound. Tweeter design is a bit odd, perhaps to differentiate from the 703. I auditioned this speaker against a Dali, Klipsch, Mirage, and some others of similar models. The 702 emerged the winner as a smooth relaxing piece. I ended up getting the 703 however since it provides lower bass extension and crisper treble due to the ear level placement. Not bad for the price but if you're looking for accuracy, look elsewhere. Strength:
Powerful and clean bas . The best I've ever heard from a speaker for this price and size.
Weakness:
Low efficiency I use them as frontspeakers in my home cinema installation and a pair of Mission 700 as rear speakers. And it sound great!!! To top it of I use a Mission 70c1 as center. Good sound for less money!!! Total price for all speaker was under $500.... |

Strength:
Great Bass, Good Midrange, perfect for home cinema
Weakness:
Nothing major, can lose its midrange a tad on certain recordings, but its minor Not fully run in yet but i tested them with Gladiator and Patriot, the bass extension was great, I didn't need my sub, it may be made redundant! Bi-wired them using Monster THX cable, seems to work better than the usual cable I use. It fits in perfectly with my other missions, Centre 77C1 and rears 701. I have no hesitation in recommending someone on a budget looking for good home cinema speakers, with or without a subwoofer. Strength:
cheap, tight bass
Weakness:
dull, no top end at all I bought these on Ubid for $69 each plus $35 shipping. I had a set of the Mission 773e which I love, and I was looking for another less expensive speaker for another room. It's hard to believe that the superb 773e speakers and these came from the same manufacturer, as they sound so totally different. The reviewer below claimed that these were totally worthless musically. I almost agree, but not quite. I HAVE found a musical use for them. It just so happens that their most glaring sonic deficiency is exactly in the frequency range where most flaws in the source material occur, such as tape his, ticks and scratches on LPs and excessive presence for mic'd voices are found. The fact that these speakers are so heavily attenuated in the mid-treble range, makes them useful to turn source material that is excessively flawed in this range, somewhat tolerable. Otherwise, these speakers would be useless, and in fact are useless on well made source material Similar Products Used: Wharfedale, KEF, Dahlquist, other Missions |

Strength:
Honest Sound for Classical Music, Price
Weakness:
A Slight Lack of Treble asnd some slightly boomy/overly resonant bass-probably because of placement needing on more adjustment. In spite of the very negative reviews posted just below, I think these speakers are really quite good for what I am using them for, which is mainly classical music.
