I have had my NHT VT-2(2),VS-2a's(3) for about six months now. I love them. I am about to put a Sunfire CG on them. I can't wait, my Pioneer VSX906S (100wx5) doesn't have enough power for these speakers. They are power hungry. |

I bought these speakers specifically for their fine music reproduction! After listening to models by Klipsch, BostonA., B&W, and others I still love the VT-2's. Bass response is supurb, and every recorded detail in the highs and midrange shine. They sound good when driven by an integrated receiver, but they'll eat up all the power you can give them from a large power amp -- I've tried both. They are a little large and imposing, but the black piano laquer finish is very classy. |

Strength:
Seperate crossovers for audio and video.Bi-amp capabilities.Floor spikes and excellent finish.
Weakness:
None. Now Hear This, this company isn't playin' around, they mean business. This speaker has been put through every test i could think of and passed well above the rest. I listen to Jazz ( T.O.P., Hiroshima, Tom Grant) and Rock ( Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Disturbed) and these speakers can whisper softly and speak loudly with such presence that all you have to do is close your eyes and Jimi still lives. as far as jazz goes, Lenny Pickett is standing in front of me playing Squib Cakes on his sax. Amazing. Even Vanessa Mae's Violin is astounding. Wheather its movies or music, NHT has done its homework. Don't hesitate, if you can find a pair buy them. If you dont, you do lose. Similar Products Used: J.B.L., AR, Mirage, Boston Acoustics, Advent, B&W, Klipch, Jamo and a few more. |

Just got the speakers for $600.00 for the pair. They sound great. Played them 12 hours straight and still going. I have the Polk RT-2000's also but I like the VT-2's better. I am using them for audio right now but will switch them over to my HT system to see how they perform. The bass is great. I have run them full range and bi-amped and they really pump up the volume. Besides the VT2's and the Polk Rt-2000's, I also own the Energy Pro-22's, NHT 2.5's, Polk RT-1000 and the Bose 901's. I have a speaker fetish what can I say. But as I said from the start these speakers sound great. Better than all the others I own. |

Strength:
Sound, Value, Appearance. Fantastic bass, deep but not overwhelming. Great for both audio and home theater. Rickie Lee Jones and Das Boot have never sounded better; for a great demonstration of the bass try listening to Chumbawamba's song "Outsider". These speakers mesh nicely with the NHT VS2s as surrounds and center. Fantastic quality for the price, and they look nice too! My highest recommendation! |

These speakers are great any way you look at them. When I auditioned them at my local store I took some music along that I found to be particularly revealing and very tough on loudspeakers. When I sat down I was nothing short of impressed. The bass was very well behaved and tight, even on the demanding bass passages it never got sloppy or boomy. The midrange was very fluid and soft, and the treble very accurate and slightly rolled off. When I got them home and was able to fine tune them I was even more impressed. The soundstage on these speakers is great. You get a real sense of depth into the soundstage, and can easily image where the woodwinds are in relation to say the percussion section. And it expands past the speakers as well. As I sit down to listen the speakers begin to disapeer and can really enjoy the music. For watching movies they are great too. I don't have surround sound, but you really don't complain as there do a great job of handling anything you put at them. The crossover for audio video sounds great on paper, but so far the only difference I could really discern is a little more bass output. |

I am using the VT-2 towerspeakers together with the center and rear VS-2.THIS SPEAKER SETUP BLOWS ME AWAY! It is true what every other reviewer has written in favor of these speakers. They are very detailed, with an engaging character. I have intended to listen to various DVD soundtracks, and instead of just listening to a selected part I found my self "spellbound" by the sound and watched to the very end of each disc. That has never happened before, and this is my THIRD hometheater speaker setup. Now, for the first time, I really feel pleased 100% with my speakers. And the best thing is the VT-2 are exellent for stereo-music aswell. I listen to alot of cd´s as well as digital DVD audio and the VT-2 system has never dissapointed me!
Weakness:
When placing the speakers in your listening room, keep in mind the room boundaries, such as back and side walls. The speakers (especially VT-2) need to be placed a bit away from them in order to sound correctly. And also the bass-response of the VT-2 can become a little overbearing if placed too close to a back wall. But by far these speakers are not as sensitive to placement as other speakers I´ve heard of. So, the level of weakness is, as far as I´m concerned, not that big at all. The greatest hometheater and stereo speaker sytem out there for the money! And they are very handsome too! I AM ADDICTED TO THEM! |

Just got the NHT VT-2's with VS2 center and new HDP-2 dipoles. The system is flat awesome for DVD! Glad I got the dipoles for the rears as the are directly to the sides and are much better than the old monopoles (much larger soundfield and ambiance). Mostly a smooth jazz and progressive listener for music, but still like old rock, classical and ? Depends on the mood. Auditioned 8 different music cd's when deciding on these VT2 and lot's of time. Main competitor's were Paradigm Studio's, B&W 600's, and Infinity Overture 3's.Best overall choice for great music and thrilling home theater. Liked the imaging and broad range plus with the biampable bottom's of the VT2 make it VERY flexible for home theater ie..multiple sub's! Very enthusiastic recommendation!!! |

Three thumbs up! for VT-2 and VS-2 speakers. They are great for my AC-3 (dolby digital) receiver. I enjoyed watching movies and audio listening becoz' the sounds are very clear and it got a lot of bass too. Highly recommended!!!! |

None! Espcially for what I paid for I did a review on this two years ago when I bought my VT2s and I figured may be it's time to go back and add a second remark on these awesome speakers. Well, since then I have upgraded my h/t systems to two different processors, two different power amps, three DVD players and numerous of different type of well know cables. Yet, I have had no excuses or reasons to upgrade the VT2s. Why? Its performance. For the money, these NHTVT2s do pretty much everything from movies, music, karaoke (Yeah, sure!) so well that I'd feel guilty to upgrade even though I do have a budget and the nod from the wife. Very highly recommended! Similar Products Used: BNW, Polk |
