SOUND QUALITY, PRICE,LOOKS

I just purchased these speakers a week ago I upgraded from the Paradigm Monitor 3's . My current system is as follows
Yamaha 595 reciever , Toshiba 3108 DVD player, Pioneer PD-F1007 300 cd changer, speakers all Paradigm , center cc-150, which will be upgraded soon to the cc-350 , rears mini's and pdr-10 sub. Now onto the review, I have been very pleased with my new purchase these speakers have a great overall sound the highs are very clear, female voices sound amazing, the midrange is very natural with a very wide sound stage which is very smooth and detailed,if you like your bass you won't be upset, there is no need to even have your sub on with these , my only beef is I should have bought these a year ago. I have nothing bad to say about these speakers I think Paradigm has done there homework. So for sound and price they cant be beat. I look forward to enjoying these for a long time. I know there is alot of great speakers and companys out there like PSB ,ENERGY,B&W ,INFINITY,CERWIN-VEGA etc . Give them a try and look at the hole that they will make in your wallet. PS If your'e rich who cares, but if you are a guy like me on a budget and want the best for your money then check out the Paradigms products.

Strength:

Very well balanced, non fatiguing sound. Beautiful craftsmanship.

Weakness:

None that come to mind after months of listening!

This speaker has very nice imaging and soundstage. The detail and air on good recordings just draws you in, and the sound is addicting. The sound is not as revealing as my Magnepans, but is still detailed and with accurate timbre on voices and instruments. One thing is for certain... the $550 price tag (what I paid) for the pair belies common sense, and is a great bargain, considering this sounds like a pair of speakers that costs many times as much as it's actual pricetag. Paradigm is to be congratulated for their achievements in offering 'best bang per buck' speakers!

My other gems are my Magnepan MMG's (planar speaker). I had originally budgeted $1200 for speakers, so I got both the Mon 7's and MMG's. The MMG's and Mon 7's are the best $500-600 speakers hands down! I auditioned many including Vandersteens, Klipsch, Infinity, Sonus, etc., but these 2 left me awestruck for the $500 price point.

Strength:

Excellent sound, great appearance, outstanding value

Weakness:

None that I can think of.

These speakers are the best vaule in this price range, or even up to $200 more. They are very smooth and have a very flat and accurate sound.
Some people say that speakers need to be broken in for a while, and these sure do. Once they are, the sound is natural.
Very highly recommended.

Weakness:

none really

I just picked up a pair of M7's and all I can say is Wow! I moved my Titans to the back and have a CC-150 for the Centre. The M7's are incredibly clear, and the added lows are awesome, esp. when compared to the Titans. The only problem now is that all I want to do is stay home and listen to my CD's. I beg you to find a better pair of speakers for $499 CAD.

A *fantastic* speaker, especially for the price!! The soundstage and clarity are amazing. I absolutley love the imaging they provide. I would recommend them to anyone that enhoys a very natural and neutral sound. The speakers become transparent and in the HT setup they are seamless with the Mini Monitors and CC-350 I have. Definately recommended

Strength:

Great sounding speaker. You can listen to any kind of music and be completely satisfied

Weakness:

NONE

Sound is so clear you can hear recording glitchs in some music. These speakers put out an extremely detailed sound.
They are absolute perfection. The best thing is the price tag. I dare you to find a better sounding speaker for under $1,000. Well, let's make that $5,000. I'm sure you couldnt.
I went out with a $5,000 budget just for mains and came home with a $650 pair of Paradigms. Need I say more. I don't want to try to explain the sound. You need to go the nearest Paradigm dealer and audition them youself. I ended with an all Paradigm system and came out spending less on a whole system when I was going to spend 5 grand on one pair of speakers.
M7's>CC-350>Mini Monitors(surrounds)>Energy e:XL 12 sub>all powered by a Yamaha RX-V 995 reciever.
Yamaha and Paradigm are perfect match.

Strength:

Good quality sound both high/mid -- great construction

Weakness:

Lows are mediocre

Following in my pro/con tradtion....

Pros:
1) Great sound for music to movies
2) No boominess, loss of clarity or other issues even at extreme volumes
3) Excellent price for such good construction
4) Heavy duty components for heavy duty sound (if that makes any sense:)

Cons:
1) Fussy on placement
2) Take a good while to really warm up (when new)
3) Need more bass (try 70p's)

In all, these are some fantastic speakers for the money. You really can't go wrong with these whether you are a movie or a music person (have your cake and eat it too). I listened to NHT's (good stuff not as clear) and Bose (err, best not to say anything here). Both brands were in the same price range. The Paradigm won out in almost every way (the NHT's came close, but you can't beat the Paradigm's construction). Even with the above flaws, they are still best in class (so far as I have seen). Email me if you know any better for the money (00abbey@home.com).

If you want an all-around good speaker and don't want to spend as much as a car, try the Monitor 7's--you won't be disappointed.

Strength:

THE PRICE, good solid build quality, nice looking, and the sound these speakers put out is amazing

Weakness:

i have no complaints

i found these speakers on sale at a local audio shop for $209ea +tax. at that price i could not pass them up. a decent tower speker starts at, at least $299 ea from what i have seen and i will still take these over any of them.

out of the box they sounded good and the salesman had told me to let them "break in" for a good 48 hour period. i had never had any experience with break in periods before and i didn't know how much i bought in to the fact that a break in period would make a difference. and after 24 hours i still heard no difference.

a little over a month later it just seemed like they "broke in" over night. and let me tell you they went from sounding good to unbelievable. the highs went from being a little to bright at loud volumes to being perfect and the lows and mids came alive too. i now know that a break in period is no hoax.

i keep my speakers biwired. i listen to about 50/50 music to movies and these paradigms do a beautiful job at both.

i would highly recommend these speakers to anyone. and the quality speaker you get for the money simply cannot be beat.

Strength:

open midrange

Weakness:

harsh high end , booooommmmmy bass

A freind of mine bought a pair of these a few months ago. After listening for an extended period of time , many different types of music , they still sound way to strident in upper frequences. Bass is very boomy ,not very accurate at all . much like a cheap sub-woofer . midrange does have its good points , but few.
