I picked up a set of Energy Take 5 speakers and an Energy e:XL-S10 subwoofer for a total of $700. Now, I am the furthest thing from an audio expert, but I can definitely say that the sound from these modest speakers is very impressive overall given the money I paid for it. The only bad thing I can say about these speakers is that I think the central speaker is OK, but not terrific. For a brief period, I had a JBL HT Center Channel speaker, and sound seemed noticeably sharper and clearer. But for a lot more money. |

Strength:
Fantastic value. Great sound. Compact size.
Weakness:
There not going to be enough for the halftime show at the Super Bowl, but that's not really what they're for. I've had my Take 5 speaker set for over a year and a half now. I think one of the best things that I can say about them, is that I would probably purchase the set again today. |

Just received this from Audioshop in Canada. I'll tell you it will be hard to beat the sound out of these puppies at the price given by Audioshop. Everything seems clear and the soundstage is unbelievalbe. Anyone who is looking for a sub/sat system - this is the one. |

I've had these speakers a little over two weeks and all I can say is WOW! I was told by many that these were the best value around and they were right. They provide sharp and detailed sound with plenty of integrity to handle high volume loads. Couple that with the exl:10 subwoofer and you got room-shaking power...my neighbor came by last weekend during "Godzilla" b/c her wall was vibrating...hehe |

Don't trash on Marc sometimes things get lost, I have ordered many things from him and have had no problems, i ordered my Take 5's from him then i ordered C-6s and AC-300 and RVSS to replace the Take 5's, and each time i dealt with him i had no problem. By the way the Take 5's are great, but now i got the C-6s, AC-300 and RVSS and they sound awesome. My review of the Take 5s are down below. |

For the money the take 5 system is the best. I have them sitting on top of my big JBL and everyone thinks it is the sound from the JBL'S . I bought from Audio Shop[ in Canada great service, great price. i bought second with a tiny scracth on them. They are the best for a bedroom or small =living room |

Just bought these speakers. I can't believe at one time I was actually looking at the bose. For a few hundred bucks you can buy Energy's that blow Bose away. As far as name recognition goes who gives a damn. If they think bose are awesome they are idiots anyways. |

I current have a set of Energy Take 5's w/ a XL10" sub, paired with a Denon AVR3200 receiver and Toshiba 3109 DVD player. These speakers are awesome, true to life and with very clean sound for a set of micro speakers. Even though these speakers are small in size they are very big in sound. I think the biggest two advantages these speakers have over Bose, are price and mid range. These speakers cost about half of what Bose-15 are going for and Bose speakers aren't indepent you have to run them through the sub, and you still get no mid-range sound. |
