Strength:
Size, design and Stands
Weakness:
Music sound Love that you get stands with them. Not the best adjusting type but better than none. The only thing that I cant get past is the music sound. The recv is a Sony STRDB830. Not matter how I set them in any sound field the music still sounds muddy. Anybody has any improvements let me know. Maybe added an ext EQ might help . For DVD movies, not tried them yet. Hope they will improve dramatically |

The best for music, none better that I've heard, but I'm sure there are better ones out there.
Weakness:
Music, great for movies, but when you play a CD, it lacks bass using the KSW-10 These speakers are awesome with movies. I have them connected to my Kenwood vr-3080, with monster speaker wires. They just so so sweet with movies, esp with the dolby digital. But with music, the aren't that great. I had to purchase another set of front speakers for my music. Stands totally suck. If you position them, move them once and never again, if you do, they'll loosen up and never hold up again. The speaker is too heavy for its own stand, so they'll keep toppling over. Overall, they're a good set of speakers for your home theater. Similar Products Used: Bose |

Fabulous sound for the size.
Weakness:
Brackets loosen. Love these small speakers. Got a good price from local Sound Advice. Guys there were very helpful. I tried several others but for the money (and a lot more)I couldn't get any better. Explained I could get the speakers through military exchange for $399. So they matched the price! Also had the KSW 100 on closeout for $250 so I got a great system for $650. Sounds great with Yamaha 795a and Toshiba 3109 DVD. |

Fantasic speakers! A bargin at twice the price. I currently have the Quintets paired up with the Klipsch 12" powered sub yielding great full base to compliment the outstanding satellites. Receiver is the Yamaha RX-V795, also a 5 star product. I picked up all items from Uncle's Stereo (good prices, arrived in 3 days from NY) |

Cheap, good look
Weakness:
Everything other than the above Lousy speakers. Muddy sound. I think this is good for PC's not for good listening. Also please check my review for YAMAHA RXV800 which is another joke! Similar Products Used: Aiwa, JBL's |

Strength:
Size, clarity, connectivity, capable of playing loud with no distortion
Weakness:
None as of yet These speakers are excellent. They serve their purpose exquisitly.....small home theatre use. I purchased the KSW-12 sub instead of the whimpy KSW-10 and it has made all the Similar Products Used: Cambridge soundworks, Boston Accoustics, Kenwood |

Center Channel needs improvement on this package. I bought the quintet setup for $369 back August of 1999 and added the ksw 15 inch powered sub (paid 420.00 for it). I really like the overall sound & the Sub feels like a FREAKIN Earthquake! but the center channel doesn't seem to have that PUNCH needed to deliver clear dialog during movies (yes they are adjusted correctly, in phase, running thru an adequte receiver (onkyo 575) even properly adujusted set up with sound meter and video essentials dvd). |

Strength:
Size, materials, looks and HT sound.
Weakness:
Needs digital media to bring out strengths. Upon moving into our new house, I realized my old excellent 2 channel Stereo system with it's massive speakers would not fit into our modern built-in entertainment nook. From a magazine article, I began to notice the Klipsch Quintets. I listened to them twice and read the reviews here. I ordered them from Vanns.com along with the excellent rated Klipsch KSW-12 (I highly recommended this web dealer). I can truly say the DVD sound (Panasonic DVC-302d, Yamaha 595 receiver) is amazing. These speakers just seem to come alive. However, I still miss my Mach II's when playing stereo music but these speakers do an incredible job for their size especially considering the large room with vaulted ceiling. Plus they look so sharp. Highly recommended. Similar Products Used: Mach II (excellent massive speaker: 25hz-40khz) |

I have been looking for speakers for a while now, today August 24th 99 I came across the Klipsch Quintet Micro Theater setup at a local dealer. I listened to energy, and a few others but kept coming back to the Klipsch setup for it's sound and size. |
