Strength:

SOUMD, LOOKS, SOUND, LOOKS

Weakness:

NOTHING

Placed and connected in the right manner, this speaker system is absolutely clean, detailed and Dynamic. Even at loud volume levels, never does it lose it's ability to reproduce sound as clean as it was recorded.
A true Theater experience. The surrounds are awesome.
This is the one!

Strength:

Sonically strong, Subwoofer, Appearance & Finish.

I upgraded to Polk several months ago after using Bose for a year. I was happy with my Bose because the size makes it easier to hide from listener. However, I agree with everyone that Polk sounds sonically better and coupled with the sub, they match perfectly.
I watch more than I listen, and I love the center channel. The surround speakers are great. I didn't realize that I've been missing the mids, this really is an eye opener. This is particularly obvious when you play sound tracks. The subwoofer really performs. I mostly buy DTS encoded DVDs to get a discrete signal and boy the sub rumbles. Playing Tina Turner's (Amsterdam)-Proud Mary just rocks my home. I've complemented this with a JBL PB12 and you can feel the vibrations while seating down. Bottom line I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Listening to music, these speakers perfoms or rather outperform it's sub/sat category. Playing Eagles-Hell Freezes Over (DTS), you can distinguish each musical instruments they're playing. Vocals and mid is distinguishable. It's like being there at the concert.
Bottom line, if you can buy these set at $1k or less, it's a steal. This is highly recommended for home theater and audiophiles.

Strength:

Sound quality for both music and home theater, overall design, great subwoofer, convenient brackets for wall-mounting if required

Weakness:

No remote control for the subwoofer volume

The sound quality is very good for regular music and terrific for home theater. I purchased the Polk RM 7500 satellite-sub combo after a couple of months of auditioning several different brands and checking the reviews on this and other sites and I have to say that I'm very glad with my purchase. I have the system hooked up to a Denon AVR-4800 receiver. Initially, I followed Denon's advice and set the front speakers to SMALL and the subwoofer to YES. I was satisfied , but not overly thrilled with the sound quality, especially the bass. I then decided to follow Polk's advice and set the front speakers to LARGE, fed the sub through the line level inputs and passed unfiltered bass frequencies to the front speakers and the sub and...the difference was amazing ! In my opinion, this configuration brings out the best in this speaker system. I was wondering if other owners of this system agree with me on this or whether they have a superior setup.

Anyway, I would strongly recommend this system to anyone looking for sub-sat systems for music and home theater reproduction in the $1000-$1500 price range.

Strength:

Everything!!

Weakness:

Had to go see a chiropractor after moving the sub - but damn the sound quality is sure worth its weight in gold!

These speakers still amazes me even after 13 months. Still the best purchase in my entire H/T system. These were the second most expensive component in my system and really lamented on its cost(I'm still glad I bought them!). Read the reviews! Decide wisely!

Strength:

Awesome bass and the best sounding center and satellite speakers I listened to for the money.

Weakness:

Gloss black finish shows dust easily, but so does my TV and other A/V Equipment. Satellites are a little large.

I put together a home entertainment system recently.
I wanted to get a Sub/Sat system as I was trying to avoid the "speakers instead of furniture" syndrome.
I shopped around a lot trying to find the optimal blend that would satisfy my ear, but not break the bank.
I was about to give up when by accident, I heard the Polk RM6600's. They were very close, but not quite there.
I was able to locate a local dealer who had the RM7500's setup to demo. Not an easy task as this is one hot item. Most dealers here had even sold there demo/floor units.
It was incredibly better sounding than the RM6600's.
The downside, best price locally $1600.00.
I was able to get these for just over $1200.00 including all shipping, handling and any taxes through Liquiidprice.com.

Strength:

Very clean accurate reproducer of sound.

Weakness:

Gloss Black... Beautiful but also a dust collector

To say at the very least that I wanted to create a home theater that rivals many of our commercial movie theaters. That objective will be met if one purchases this package! Thinking that you sacrifice accurate music reproduction with home theater speakers isn't true. I'm now replaying my entire cd collection with great joy.

SUBWOOFER!!! WOW..you can feel the power inside the box. Even at its lowest level. The thing just wants to be cranked up!

Weakness:

Size. The satellites and sub were all bigger than i expected. I think POLK could have shaved off some of the size.. AND A REMOTE For the SUB!!!

Ok..
I graduated college a few years ago and within the past 6 months i decided that i needed a major system upgrade. So after getting a TV, i then needed a new reciever, and speakers. At first i was jock riding Bose. But, thank god i came to this sight. I thought the polks were a little pricy. But, they are worth it! My friend has the Bose AM15 system..so he let me tinker around with it. I played a varity of music on his system and what suprised me was that the little cube speakers started to 'fart' at the lows..and not that much bass came from the sub. So,i started to look around..and i found this websight and looked into the Polk 7500. After reading the reviews..i figured i should check them out at the wiz. At the Wiz..i went into the demo room..all by myself..and cranked up the system. WOW..i was completely blown away by the sound of the system. I was sold on the Polk right there. Well, a few days ago i hooked the system together. I turned it up once..before i got scared. THE SYSTEM IS SO POWERFUL! it shook my neighbors stuff two floors below me! Needless to say i am completely satisified with the sound and power of the system. WEAKNESSES..ok, the size is a little bulky for 'satellite' speakers. They are more like 4 bookshelf speakers. But, they do sound great. And the sub..it reminds me of a shiny black r2-d2. It is pretty bulky also..when i frist got it. i didnt know where to put it. It was an eyesore for a little while until i found its sweet spot. BUT, this system also NEEDS a remote for the sub. That thing is so powerful that you need to adjust the bass for different songs..and types of music. Overall, i love my new system..and i will definitely have it for years to come. Kudos Polk!

NONE

Polk's RM7500 sub/sat system to me was the best sounding of the bunch. It had the most agreeable sound to me for both DVD movies and music CDs (have you heard EAGLES' AUDIO DTS recording on these - incredible!) My wife and I enjoy listening to all types of music from classical, jazz, dance to blues. These speakers will make you GRIN.

BEST PURCHASE IN MY ENTIRE HOME H/T SYSTEM. If you dont mind waiting a few weeks to get them, order it from BUYITNOW.COM and save a few hundred dollars off retail. Got mine for $1200. delivered

Strength:

Sound quality, thin profile, all speakers matched and balanced, clean and powerful subwoofer

Weakness:

none so far

I'm somewhat biased since I've was already sold on Polk speaker systems. I have one of the first RM series sub/sat that had previously been the front speakers in this config, and some 20 year old RT series speakers that still sound great, even if they do require quite abit of power to drive them. Only one dealer in Denver sells Polk RM7500, and they don't offer much of a discount, but when I listened to them compared to Polk RM6600 and to Def Tech sub/sat or Boston Acoustic, I really felt they were much warmer and natural sounding. Thats also the reason I selected the Denon 3300 receiver over the equivalent Yamaha; warmer sound. Anyway, probably the most striking feature to me is how well balanced the imaging is with this setup; mounted the fronts 2 feet from the side walls parallel to the monitor screen, the surrounds perpendicular facing each other on the back side walls about 8 feet from the floor, and subwoofer on back wall. Used line inputs (not LFE), and set fronts to large, surrounds to small, and routed all bass to subwoofer from setup in Denon. Imaging is incredible with all sources; sounds seemless when passing from left to center to right, where before even with the older RM series, there was noticable hesitation as the sound moved across the field. 5 channel stereo sounds very full; for this effect, having fronts to large, and surrounds to small and tweaking the individual channel levels really makes the sound fill the room, but maintains the natural stereo imaging. The Denon/PolkRM7500 combo is a real winner in my book.

Looked for months for a good internet retailer, and am happy with Sound Distributers; everything shipped on time and at a very competitive price. There was one mistake with the finish on the subwoofer, but Eric acknowledged and corrected the problem promptly. Would recommend to others interested in this system.

I bought My 7500 speakers at the wiz and let me tell you there just awesome!! there very blanced speakers and I get no distortion what so ever, I mean the only distortion I get now would be the sound of my living room walls shaking, Im using monster THX certified speaker wire and it really does make a big difference with these speakers, I would recommend anyone who purchases the RM7500 to get the THX certified wire because regular wire just cuts you short with these speakers, the wire really does bring out the best in these speakers. I also think of it like this, the RM7500 is a great upgradable system because when 7.1 channels comes out by next year or the following all you have to do is put those front satelite speaking on the sides and purchase some great top of the line polk front channel speakers and bam your system is upgraded and smoking!!!!! I also cant tell you how these speaker sound with music cause I really only use them for home theater sound and they get a perfect score in that deptment = )
