I've had my sub for about 6 months now and don't have any complaints about its performance. I use it exclusively for my home theater system and it really adds a lot to the whole DVD experience. I relied on the reviews of others to help me in my decision to buy this product and haven't been disappointed one bit. Great job AR.

this sub is an overall performer great for music and movies i think i got a great deal ( regular $400 ) i got it for $186 what a deal and it's easy to setup and you can place it any where you want , great roomfiling bass i have a large dorm room and any where you go there's bass .

This sub is great for the price it has a powerfull amp ( 120 watts ) plus a long throw 12" poly cone put these two things together and you get a awesome sub .
I tested my sub at 21Hz @ 90 dB with lest the 0.3 distortion
i have my sub placed right in the corner for the best sound
i have it hooked up to my Denon amp 80 Watts X 5 plus i have a sony dvd player for my fronts i have a pair of polk audio floor speakers my sub perfectly blends in with my polks. this sub sounds sweet i once had the volume on the sub a full blast and my amp's volume at half way mark and this sub whent so loud without distorting .
This subwoofer puts out Room filling ground shaking deep deep deep low & loud thunderous bass for movies and for music it puts out nice tight deep clean bass down to 20 Hz
if your looking for a mid priced sub get this on you will be happy just like me.

Price, Looking, auto on/off and off switch.

Sound, made in China.

After reading many positive reviews about this Sub and because of the price, I decided to purchase it. The sub looks good and solid. It has some nice features: reverse phase, auto on/off and power off switch. However, I am very disappointed with the sound especially when listening to the music. It's 12" with 120W powered sub but I have to turn the level and crossover knobs about half way in order to hear extra bass( recommended by AR tech support). I tried to place it in different positions, tried all the levels and crossover frequencies but none would help. The bass is very muddy and it starts giving me headache if I turn the level up a little bit. My friends have Inf Sub, 8" and 12", which sound much much better, deep and tight. I am more disappointed when the 8" sub sounds better than mine, 12" Sub. But I don't know why the Infinity subs got low rating on the reviews so I hesitated to buy it. I am really regret to buy this AR Sub. If you are looking of a sub, put some extra money and be happy. If you are buying from the web, go to the local store to try it out first(i didn't :( )and make sure you really like it because it is difficult to return.
